Delphi AF10043 Mass Air Flow Sensor

Brand new unit, it is exactly the same as my original I took out which lasted 13 years and 140000 miles. Easy fix too, first, disconnect the negative side of the battery, then loosen a couple band clamps and disconnect the harness. Pull out your old Delphi unit (Original equipment) re-insert new one, tighten band clamps, re-connect harness and negative battery terminal. Its not a bad idea before installation to clean out air box and replace air filter too while you are in there, Then fire it up, if you have a PO101 code it will be automaticly erased by battery disconnection anyway. It should have more pep, eliminate the throttle stumble, almost stall at idle problem and erratic idle issues, and it will improve gas mileage. A big plus when you have the 2500HD with the 6litre and 4:11 rear end.. It was never good on gas anyway, but it has now improved, and runs as smooth as a sewing machine, like new for 80 bucks, in my truck it will pay for itself in gas mileage in a month!!!

Easy to install

It initially cured the issue I was having with loss of mpg with my Chevy truck and the intermittent engine cutout. About 3 months later, I had to clean it with some MAF cleaner spray I bought at OReillys to bring it back to operating specs again. It has been about 2 months and all is well with it so far.

Its not delphi

Worked perfectly. This one was EXACTLY the same as the original one I pulled out of my 2004 Chevy Silverado. Arrived packed well and clean, and no codes afterward. Don’t forget to unhook the negative battery terminal for 10 minutes to “reset” the relearning process in the computer. I unhooked the battery prior to starting the work and by the time I was done I just hooked it back up and was good to go. UPDATE: 2 yrs later, still going strong!

I was having an idle issue. This works fine with my LS.

This installed in minutes with just a flat bladed screw driver. The part appears to be of high quality and looks to be exactly the same as the original which had 220,000 miles on it. The original part was also Delphi. My truck instantly idled and ran better. I do not remember which code my truck was throwing, but this seemed the best place to start for it.

This MAF was way cheaper than my local auto parts store and the dealer ship (they wanted a lot more money for a refurbished part) and it was easy to install on my Chevy Silverado truck. My truck passed smog and was exactly what I needed to fix my check engine light. Would recommend if you are getting a Air Flow Check Engine problem on your Chevy vehicle. INFO FOR INSTALLATION - You just have to remove the rubber ring around the old MAF and install it on the new one before replacing it on the vehicle.

Even in the photos, the delphi plate is clearly there. It comes in a delphi box, says its made in China. Delphi plate is not on the part, instead just a blank metal piece. The exact same Chinese knock off can be bought for $30 here. People need to see this and stop buying these because right now it is Amazons Choice. Some reviews say they got the correct part, no idea what changed, but I thought I could save a few bucks by getting it here. Installed it, fired up my truck and smelled raw gasoline immediately. Whether the part works or not doesnt matter, it is not as advertised.

Check engine code for blocked air flow. Air filter new, so not that. Replaced flow sensor, remove battery ground to clear out code, back in business in 20 minutes. $200 fix at a dealer.
