I think it it did the job , I used it to get some rust from the frame of a window.

I service audio equipment and use this Caig contact treatment on all rca connections. He is is a new one… my Comcast Internet went down . I did everything, reset modem through Comcast twice nothing. Power cycled everything, nothing. I had a service appointment set up. I thought what could it hurt to try this Caig product on the modem and the cable connectors. Bam it started right up. Those connections had gunk on them. I think it did the trick. I service electronics so I am a realist.

This stuff is magic in a bottle. A must have for cleaning up electrical contacts in old cars and pretty much anything else. If I could dip my whole car in it, I would.

As an amusement tech I’ve used Deoxit to recondition “dry contacts”( switch , relay etc) for years .. works as a preventative and a reconditioner ... seems to have a high level of “creep” so apply to a closed switch body contact and in a few minutes , it seems to find its way in and works its magic ... just don’t put it on a LCD glass or foam contact ...

I have an Owon scope and the rotary encoders that control the trace location and other things were erratic. Other people replaced them or the whole assembly. Someone fixed by adding decoupling capacitors. I was lazy so i tried DeoxIT. I applied it only to the shaft under the knob three times 1 drop a day apart. It is been a few months and it is still working. For the negative; it is expensive. I could have replaced all the encoders for what i paid for this and the DeoxIT slider product. (i used both) . I still have most of it left for other projects.

This stuff is magical. Used it on several vintage electronics. Cleared up static plagued knobs and restored function to those that didnt work.

Ive been using this on automotive applications, electrical connectors specifically. Sometimes they get white corrosion on them. This stuff seems to work really well on that. I have also been putting it on grounds and other connections and it works great. A little goes a long ways.

Great product for guitar and electronic potentiometers seems to be less waste and mess than the aerosol version. Does fantastic job at restoring noise issues
