> 3 dayThey are nice above calf socks. Just right thickness. I ordered a womans medium (6-10) and they are big. So order the next size smaller for nice fit. Kept me warm in the snow.

> 3 dayI love these wool socks for myself and I wear them under a fluffy big slipper sock. I needed extra warmth because my feet are always cold. They keep me very comfortable.

> 3 dayI needed wool socks to help protect my toes from exposure to the cold, as they had begun to split and hurt (Raynauds Syndrome?). The socks are a bit large, (Im a Ws 8.5, ) even when laundered, but seem to be protective; and very good Quality for their moderate price point.

> 3 dayNice socks - soft and cozy - a fair bit thicker than my usual gold-toe white socks!

> 3 dayThese fit well, and are very soft inside so that helps stop blisters from forming.

> 3 dayThe listing calls these socks CREW socks. The pictures show crew length socks. However when they were delivered they are actually BOOT socks and are the length of boot socks. This makes them too long. Sadly I will be returning even though the quality is exactly what we wanted.

Greater than one weekI have a small hobby farm in Maine and am out in all kinds of weather. Ive had a lot of difficulty finding warm socks that will stay up in my muck boots. These, I am pleased to say, do stay up. They run a bit larger than I expected, however. I wear a womans 9½ or 10 boot and bought the medium size, which is supposed to fit 6-10½. They did shrink a bit after washing, but still are a bit large. Not a huge problem as they fit snugly around my foot and ankle and have a nice soft lining.

> 3 dayI wear a size 8 womens shoe and the size medium are a little bigger than I like. Going to buy the small. Reviews said they shrink after washing and drying and although they did a little straight from the dryer, they still stretch out and are baggy.

> 3 dayThese socks are great for cold nights camping in the open, but they are a bit bulky if you are looking to go ultra-light.
