This scanner is very nice. The document feeder handles the paper nicely, the scanner itself is fast, and the Doxie software is pretty good. I have a couple small quibbles that are not deal breakers: on the hardware side, the little flaps on the paper width sliding adjusters kind of flop around when open which makes it a little tricky to load paper. On the software side it doesn’t seem like it’s possible to set the default save action for multi-page scans as PDF…if you use the macOS command-s “save” command the software saves a multipage scan as a folder of JPG files. It would make sense to me that the user should be able to set a preference to save multipage scans as a PDF. Other than that, I like it a lot and would recommend this scanner.

I read many scanner reviews and selected the DOXIE PRO. I picked it because it had the least paper jam complains, had a small footprint, and was not made in China. After scanning more than 500 sheets, I can report not a single jam. The set up was easy (I use a Mac). Simply follow the instructions and the software loads in a snap. It is very intuitive, you are up and running in no time. I was using a high end multi purpose printer, scanner, copier, but the DOXIE PRO is significantly faster and has cut down the time it takes me to convert to e-files by 75% or more. The features are perfect. Docs are easy to manipulate and rename. Within a few hours of registration, Sarah from DOXIE emailed to ask if I had any questions. 2 days later, I did have a question and was given the option of chat or having return phone call. I did select chat. My request was answered within a minute. Lanie assisted me. She was not handing multiple calls like many chat responders do. I received an email a day later as asking if the problem was solved and if I needed any additional support. The DOXIE PRO and their people are first rate. They stand way above the crowd.

Easy to use out of the box. Great little scanner.

I spent several weeks researching reliable, affordable, easy to use scanners. I wanted a duplex scanner that could do both documents and pictures. Looked at Epson, Cannon, Brother, Fujistsu... Ultimately decided to try this one and several hundred scans later I am so happy I did!! Heres what I love about it - 1) Machine is super compact - it really is tiny and doesnt take up much space 2) Installation was super simple - it was really easy to set up. Materials are clear and packaging was super very minimal. Compatible with PC. 3) LOVE the software - comes with software that is super simple to navigate. Software is smart and removes empty pages on document scans which I LOOOOOOOVE. Software care store continually, save on network or email 4) Feeder works - automatic paper feeder works. After several hundred scans (possibly a thousand) there was one time it mis-fed and the paper was folded. 5) Like supporting small thoughtful business - you can tell these folks care about what they do and their employees. Even marketing materials reflect inclusive principles and that matters to me as a consumer. 6)Comes with 1 year warranty - vs 30 days on all other machines 7) Scan quality is excellent! It really was worth it. Its one of the best purchases Ive made in a while. Stop searching and get this one. You wont be sorry!

Such a wonderful scanner. It is just the right size for my small desk area. Quick scanner that saves photos in a clear and crisp format.

I have the previous version and upgraded now that it’s possible to do double sided scans! Best scanner ever!!

I needed a scanner to upload receipts for my business. The feature I love the most is the ability to scan multiple different documents, rename them quickly and save them to different folders. Way faster than my printer scanner. I definitely recommend this device.

The unboxing was super awesome, you can tell that a lot of care has gone into this product, every step had friendly guides and help if needed. The software is really nice to use. Coming from Scansnap s1300, I tried to just avoid that software and scan straight to PDF, but I really like the Doxie concept of an inbox, and being able to regroup (staple/unstaple) paper together after it is scanned. Also pleasantly surprised by the ability to tweak cropping, contrast, and a few other settings after scan. It changes my workflow from scanning one logical document at a time to just scanning a pile of paper and then grouping the way I want after the fact. So far qualify and OCR has been good for what I expect, and speed is much better than my old Scansnap. Happy to have this product!

I absolutely love this scanner. I owned one of the original Doxie scanners, and am thrilled to have the newer model. This scanner can copy a lot of pages (up to 20) back-to-back and very quickly. The OCR function enables me to read data into Word and Excel. This function alone has saved me days of work on some of my projects. The newest model has a much improved and seamless installation process, a very useful special feed for items that are of unusual size or thickness, and a very sturdy construction. What I really love is that it can outpace all the other scanners Ive had for productivity, but it has such a small footprint that it takes up very little real estate on my desk. I highly recommend it!
