I use this in my watercolors, when I cant remove a bit of paint to cover it up. Good consistency, excellence coverage. Cleans up nicely.

First bottle arrived and it was a paste. The second bottle was very thick but I was able to stir it up to become a thick syrup consistency. I wish I would have gotten it from the local craft store.

As a watercolor artist, it is a magnificent product to use. It takes only a small amount to make a big difference. It makes matching colors or adding lighter space so much easier than anything else I have used. Just a tiny amount mixed with paints from tubes or pans gives lovely results. Hooray. One caveat: it is opaque, so if you are after a totally transparent painting, this product will not be for you. But if just a bit of brightness is needed, this really works.

I wasnt aware of how thick it is, so when I got it I at first thought it was dried out. I mixed a little water into the top bit of the jar and it works perfect for my use as a calligraphy ink.

I am an artist and I basically use this stuff with watercolors everyday. I only have one complaint. The whole bottle starts to dry up within a month. I mix it constantly, but eventually it starts to get lumpy and dry. I guess if you dont use it everyday like I do you will be fine, otherwise you will be buying a bottle of this stuff nearly every two months.

Im a casual calligrapher and I often use this in my pointed pen work. And Ive also used this for brush lettering. This would be even useful for adding back in the highlights in watercolor or mixed media work. What I do is scoop out some of the thick paint and place it on my ceramic palette. I add a little water until its just thin enough to flow smoothly (Ive come to be able to eyeball it now). I load my nib with this by dipping a filbert brush into the paint and water mixture and pressing it against the reservoir on my nip. I test the flow on a scrap piece of paper to ensure a good balance of flow and opacity. This product can be watered down for a less than opaque look, as well. It is like a gouache so be aware that it can reactivate if it got wet even after it dried. If that bothers you, Id try Holbein acryla gouache instead (also works great with dip pens). This is a versatile product and Im sure you could find a great use for it but it you already have a white gouache you love, this may not be necessary.

I love this! It really doesnt show color through the white!
