> 24 hourEdit : Just moved from a 2 story house with 2 ac units a 2.5ton 1st floor and a 3ton upstairs and added Kickstarters to both units so my 12kw portable generator could handle the whole house and it did but i knew the generator wouldnt handle the new house with 3.5ton at 119amp inrush edit : so i ordered this a few months back for a new construction home and i waited till i knew what HVAC system was installed so i could order the correct one and i moved in about 2 months ago but between all the smart switches, security system ceiling fans etc etc i finally got to install this and i have to say Im blown away as my 3.5ton unit was pulling 119amps on start (inrush) and i could easily notice the lights dim when the ac kicked on but now Im at 27.5 amps inrush so i know theres no problem my 12k w Duromax dual fuel generator will handle the new home i measured the inrush amps with the meter and compared to the Bluetooth app and was an exact match so overall i am very pleased to the point that i may order 2 more for my old 2 story house Im renting out Edit : so its been a several weeks ago seems to be going great finally got around to installing it in a weather tight box just to give it some extra protection very happy with it

> 24 hourMy 1990 model Rheem air conditioner compressor consistently took 91 amps to start. After installing the micro air easy start and evaluating its performance for over 500 cycles now, it averages 27 amps to start and although it claims not to lower running amps, those to have dropped from 17.5 to 15.7 on average. The significance is that now during a power outage I can start and run my central AC on either my gas powered 7000 watt generator or my solar powered 6000 watt off grid inverter. I couldn’t be happier with this product. Sunshine = Middle fingers up to the the power monopoly’s !!!

> 24 hourThis device reduced my inrush current that allows me run a 4 ton central unit, a 3 ton central unit and a 2hp well pump on a 15kw Generac generator. The Hutch Mountain customer service was outstanding.

> 24 hourThis thing came without quick connects or ANYTHING to set it up. Customer Support didnt reply when I requested help on what size quick connectors, size of mounting screws, etc. This is very expensive and Im really disappointed that I now have to go searching for the parts to install. **UPDATE: Customer Support contacted me the next day & provided an install kit and instructions on wire connections.

> 24 hourreduced AC LRA from 70A to 26A can now start central AC using 8750 watt surge generator, love the Bluetooth connection, suggest you really read install directions and watch the install videos not for your novice DIY person, very pleased with results. Received unit less than 5 days after ordered

> 24 hourThese are stupendously expensive but do actually work very well indeed. Has taken a lot of strain off of my solar inverter. The only bad things about it are very short Bluetooth range and the fact that it is on the load side of the contactor so you can only see whats happening when your AC is actually on.

> 24 hourI received the product and quickly noticed how well made it was. Installation was a breeze with only four wires, took me about ten minutes, that included me putting the required ends on. I had one question and sent a text to support. They quickly called me back, when I say quick I mean less than 3 minutes. They walked me through the setup wire by wire to confirm it was installed correctly. My start up Amos was 60 on my 3.5 ton unit. Now my start up amps is 24. Generator now powers my entire house with the ac unit.

> 24 hourNothing bad about tech support just never had to contact them. I found the online wiring diagrams easier for me to follow then the supper detailed instructions. I only have about 20 starts so time will tell had good lasting the unit will be. That said, although a little costly I would highly recommend this, my starting amps went from 76 down between 25 and 29 amps for my 4 ton AC, so fell pretty confidant my 8000 Watt generator will work but havent tested yet. I like the Bluetooth and works very well but I would like to see about a $40 drop on the cost. It is built very will but wish it was small enough to mount inside the AC unit just to keep it out of the sun and heat.
