Greater than one weekDuring Hurricane Ida, my house was without power for approximately 2 weeks, after which I realized it would have been far more comfortable if I could have run the central A/C using my generator. My two-stage Lennox heat-pump pulls between 2000-3800 watts while running (8-15A), but the startup wattage is about 12000 watts (~48A), which is far more than my

> 3 dayreduced AC LRA from 70A to 26A can now start central AC using 8750 watt surge generator, love the Bluetooth connection, suggest you really read install directions and watch the install videos not for your novice DIY person, very pleased with results. Received unit less than 5 days after ordered

> 3 dayThese are stupendously expensive but do actually work very well indeed. Has taken a lot of strain off of my solar inverter. The only bad things about it are very short Bluetooth range and the fact that it is on the load side of the contactor so you can only see whats happening when your AC is actually on.

> 3 dayThis was an excellent investment at $389. The AC start up current pull was in the 70ies. After installation it dropped to mid 30ies on my 4 ton ac. It was easy to install. Watch the Utube vid for easy instructions. The reason for purchase was so my 11,000 watt generator would start my AC. It worked great.

> 3 dayI have a 3 Ton Carrier unit that is 11 years old now. First thing I did was check the max amperage before any modifications. Mine came in at 68 amps. I then replaced the original capacitor just because and checked again. The max amperage came down to 60 amp. After installing the soft start unit, starting it 5 times per instructions (have to wait a few minutes between each start) and checking, I was shocked! Max amperage was 19 amps!!! I then switched over to my 6000 watt LP generator. It starts the AC with only the slightest change in rpm’s. Wow! Was never able to do this before. I have an oil furnace that runs off the generator but never could use the heat pump or AC. Now I can do it all! The cost of the EasyStart plus generator comes out to about what one would pay for just a larger generator to run the unit as it was. So instead of paying more money for a larger more expensive generator that consumes much more fuel, I can use a smaller generator having less fuel consumption. More importantly, I will have less wear and tear on the compressor. Wish I had this on my unit when it was new. Highly recommended!

> 3 dayI bought this unit 18 months ago because it claimed to reduce A/C condenser surge wattage by 66%. Well it works! My starting watts went from 24000 watts down to 8000 watts on the condenser. It allows me to use a Briggs 8000 portable generator to run my 4 ton A/C,- blower included. Make sure you get a generator that has less then 6% Total Harmonic Distortion! There are not many out there. Also, my living room lights dont blink when the A/C Condenser kicks on with city power during normal use. Great product if you live in a hurricane city like I do and want to have central A/C when the hurricane hits! I cant recommend this great product more...

> 3 dayGreat product, the run capacitor failed on my compressor, easystart refused to keep trying to start, saving my compressor motor from over heating. Replaced capacitor, all is good. Had to call factory to find out how to clear the error code on my easystart.
