Does exactly what they claim. Line Rush Amps went from 72 down to 23.8

My a/c startup amperage dropped by 61%. I was extremely happy to see that drop. Next I will be testing the emergency generator running the a/c as well as most of the normal appliances in the house. I have run the a/c with my generator before but only the a/c out of necessity but I sweat all the time it was on for fear of damaging the a/c or the generator. Now that the a/c draws 61% less startup amps I am confident everything except our electric stove will run on emergency generator which is 7500/9500 watts.

Installed this on my whole house Rheem 4 ton unit. Before install the inrush amps measured 113. After 5 learn runs the inrush was down to 29 amps. Anybody who can read the circuit diagram of their ac should be able to install this. The Bluetooth app makes doing the learn runs easy.

I dont know the previous actual starting current for my new 3 ton AC, but it is now about 25 amps.

We live near the gulf coast, but we were also without power for 3 days last winter. I bought a 12,000 watt peak generator and was hoping it would power my 4 ton downstairs AC and fridge and freezer. Upon generator hook-up the blower fan started okay- but the compressor fan started turning- and then quit. I researched and found this MicroAir unit and had it installed. Now, I run my entire house with comfortably AC throughout. When the AC compressor starts there is hardly a hiccup in the generator.

I bought this unit 18 months ago because it claimed to reduce A/C condenser surge wattage by 66%. Well it works! My starting watts went from 24000 watts down to 8000 watts on the condenser. It allows me to use a Briggs 8000 portable generator to run my 4 ton A/C,- blower included. Make sure you get a generator that has less then 6% Total Harmonic Distortion! There are not many out there. Also, my living room lights dont blink when the A/C Condenser kicks on with city power during normal use. Great product if you live in a hurricane city like I do and want to have central A/C when the hurricane hits! I cant recommend this great product more...

This pulled the start amps (in rush) from 116 amps to 36. Now my generator can start and run the AC. If youre on the fence about this, do it. It actually works as advertised. There are YouTube videos on the installation. Its not hard to install, but seeing it done makes it much easier.

During Hurricane Ida, my house was without power for approximately 2 weeks, after which I realized it would have been far more comfortable if I could have run the central A/C using my generator. My two-stage Lennox heat-pump pulls between 2000-3800 watts while running (8-15A), but the startup wattage is about 12000 watts (~48A), which is far more than my
