> 3 dayI build my own adjustable desk, everything weights about 65Lb. I bought this and use it less than 2 weeks. It has some black powder with the rods(see picture). It is LOUD, much louder then the one at my work place.

> 3 dayI used this actuator in a home made chicken coop automatic for opener. The actuator is quite slow when opening and closing, but so far it has been dependable. Combined with a 12V power supply, a relay, and an Arduino, it seems to work well!

> 3 dayThese work great on my homemade solar tracker system.

> 3 dayI ordered and received two of these LAM. Each was a 10 inch model and worked pretty well for about 1-3 months. I used them in a solar tracking array with one LAM tracking in Azymuth and the other in Elevation. The one i used for elevation tracking periodically stops working until it gets knocked lightly by something like a wrench or small hammer--which i discovered through trial and error. THe other LAM works perfectly. Of course since the array is on the roof...blah blah blah

> 3 dayI purchased two of these for the development of automatic chicken coop doors. I completed the R & D, did a months worth of bench testing i.e., I put the assembled unit outside but not in the coop. I needed to make sure it was going to open and close at sun-up and sun down. First one operated as designed. I then installed the second one. The internal limit switch failed on the first evening while closing the door. This caused a huge increase in current that fried the control relay, the voltage regulator, the micro-controller that operates the entire system, and the charge controller for the solar system. All said, this $50 actuator cost me about $700! Dont buy it!!!! I contacted the company for a replacement or as a minimum guidance on how to fix the limit switch. Im still waiting to hear back from them. The write-up states replacement within one year. I bought these three months ago. So much for their guarantee. Save yourself time, money, and aggravation. Buy a better component. This is not it!!!!

Greater than one weekThis product works great in my coop to allow me to open and close the coop door without going across the pasture each time. I highly recommend getting the ECO-WORTHY wireless controller and a 12-volt rechargeable battery to run it. No problems yet. :)

Greater than one weekShipping was prompt, packaging was secure. Only found two minor issues: there was no wiring diagram. and the polarity for extending the actuator is opposite what one would expect; and the mounting pins are not the same size, so there is a specific pin for the drive end, ans a pin for the other end (but not visibly different). Both items are inconveniences, only. I have not tested it under full load. The specification for duty cycle says 25%, but doesnt indicate a cycle duration or temperature limit for the drive motor.
