Greater than one weekReally good quality product. I got the 300 pound lift, and it’s amazingly strong. Very satisfied with the product.

Greater than one weekDo NOT use for automatic chicken coop door unless you have a sensor that stops it if a chicken is in the doorway.

> 3 dayI never had a chance to try this actuator. The first one I ordered was inoperative right out of the box. I checked the leads with and ohm meter and it was open circuit, applying power no movement, so I sent it back thinking it was a fluke. The second unit I received did the same, no continuity and did not work. After returning them both I ordered (from a different manufacturer) a more expensive and hopefully functional actuator from Amazon.

> 3 dayThis product is working fine, strong motor and if mounted correctly (insulated from physical contact by (for example) rubber padding) very silent. Watch out! This product is 16 inches long and NOT 400mm. 16inch is 406,4mm. This caused a return for me because it had to replace a defect 400mm piece.

> 3 dayWorks great so far. Only down side is how slow it is. I know the specs are listed but it’s hard to grasp just how slow this thing is until you see it. You will also need a 2 way switch of some sort to make it work.

> 3 dayI used this actuator in a home made chicken coop automatic for opener. The actuator is quite slow when opening and closing, but so far it has been dependable. Combined with a 12V power supply, a relay, and an Arduino, it seems to work well!

> 3 dayI am using the Actuator for my chicken coop. It will open and close an automatic door to the coop. I went with the 18 because I also have ducks. It has been great. Predators wont be getting into this coop.
