I purchased this pack because of a few songs that I would like to learn, and reading on it said there were over 250 songs to learn, but the songs they have are more like twinkle twinkle little star. type stuff, there are a few songs that make the grade. Like Peaceful Easy Feeling by the Eagles. and a few other blues tunes. but you can find these songs anywhere.

As a self taught guitarist, I do understand the basics and whilst my own methods arent necessary orthodox, I have had a lot of fun with my instrument. What this title does is help the user with easy lessons to pick up some great techniques (both for new and established guitarists) in various styles and backs up the lessons with easy to follow videoes that the user can speed up or slow down to help them learn.

I am a complete beginner and only just invested in a guitar, so I fit within the intended target group and there is indeed great help to find starting off with an intro to the different types of guitars, the terminology used (there is a glossary should you need to look it up later), strumming the guitar - and of course most importantly the different cords and a selection of songs - and it is interactive, so you can both see and hear how it is supposed to sound/look. There is even a variable speed option should you want to slow down or speed up a particular lesson.

This program is surprisingly fun. Its easy to use and a great way to start learning guitar without paying loads for lessons.

I found this to be a so-so tutor for playing the guitar. It seems to me there are lots of better books that do this job let alone a computer programme. It makes minimal use of the interactive medium and I am afraid it left me rather underwhelmed. Dummies guides are usually so much better than this.

ATTENTION MAC USERS - Beginning with macOS 10.15 (Catalina), Apple has eliminated the option to run 32-bit apps on the Mac. If you wish to continue using our applications, which currently require 32-bit support, do not upgrade your operating system past Mac OS 10.14 (Mojave). Alternatively, you can retain an older Mac operating system on a separate drive partition. eMedia developers are currently working on software updates to support Catalina and future versions of macOS, but this is a major undertaking. eMedia is currently unable to foresee how long it will take to create these new versions. If you purchased your eMedia software on or after September 7, 2019, upon receiving proof of purchase eMedia Music will provide you with a free upgrade to a macOS 10.15 (Catalina)-compatible version of an eMedia application when it becomes available. All other registered owners of eMedia software will be qualified for discounted upgrades.
