> 3 dayThis is pretty good for beginners. Some have complained it was too beginner, others say its too complicated. works for me though. You dont need to know much to earn a little song pretty quickly

> 3 dayThis was a gift I purchased for a relative of mine who is just getting into music or more preferably learning how to play guitar. I brought it after it was referenced to me by one of my studio clients who had recommended it to his students in the past. I cant say much about it because I havent used it first hand but I did run through the program that was lent to me and it is very very informative. Even though I dont play guitar I do play several instruments and understand what good music theory is. This is a great stepping stone for someone just starting out.

> 3 dayI bought this for my husband, who is learning to play the guitar; and, managed to lose the CD provided with the original Guitar for Dummies book. He didnt even want to open the package because then you cant send it back and because he is not very computer savvy. Long story short: the first lesson convinced him this is the way to learn. Chords are clearly presented, played so finger position is displayed and then chords are used in a song. Computer savvy is obviously not a necessary ingredient! Presents the basics in an easy, interesting and musical way. Now I have to wait (interminably) to use the computer.

> 3 dayI found this to be a so-so tutor for playing the guitar. It seems to me there are lots of better books that do this job let alone a computer programme. It makes minimal use of the interactive medium and I am afraid it left me rather underwhelmed. Dummies guides are usually so much better than this.

> 3 dayI am a complete beginner and only just invested in a guitar, so I fit within the intended target group and there is indeed great help to find starting off with an intro to the different types of guitars, the terminology used (there is a glossary should you need to look it up later), strumming the guitar - and of course most importantly the different cords and a selection of songs - and it is interactive, so you can both see and hear how it is supposed to sound/look. There is even a variable speed option should you want to slow down or speed up a particular lesson.

> 3 dayThis was a mess. The videos jumped and skipped and the whole thing looked as if it had been made 15 years ago. It was not particularly user friendly and the song selection weak. It actually asked for an older version of the video plug in than the one that I had on my PC. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. It is just rubbish I dont know who would be inspired by it.
