Greater than one weekI’ve used Epsom salts for decades and various brands to include generic. I really enjoy these and LOVE the size of this bag!

Greater than one weekI have small areas of psoriasis on both knees and both elbows. Nightly soaks in the tub do wonders to help with the itching and scales, and such soaks also help dramatically with my arthritis pain. Id been buying epsom salts from the grocery store, but theyve started selling only scented stuff and I dont like the scents they choose. (Who wants to smell like a candy cane? Or an old ladys underwear drawer?) Id bought some Dead Sea salts via Amazon in the past and they were okay but definitely overpriced. When I saw this, I figured Id give it a try. These Epsom salts are literally like none Ive ever seen before: theyre shiny, uniformly-shaped crystals versus the dull, rocky chunks from the grocery store. I dont know why, and I dont know how they do that, but theyre certainly pretty in the huge apothecary jar next to the tub where I keep them. As for how they work: theyre just as relaxing as the grocery stuff store without the nasty fake fragrance. These seem to almost be a bit effervescent, although that might be my imagination. I like them. Ive ordered them twice. I wish they had a Subscribe & Save option because, as someone who uses 2 cups in her bath every. single. night., Id certainly sign up for it.

22-11-2024We take baths with epson salt for healths sake and relaxation. This is such a fantastic deal! I add mint or rosemary, from the yard, to scent it. Wonderful!

> 3 dayI purchased this in a 20lb bag this past summer 2013 for $26.99 and now it is #34.99 6 months later (Jan 2014). Slightly disappointed. It was a bargain at $26.99 and comparable to other bath salts sold locally. Unfortunately my mother and I have a chronic illness and require numerous aids to assist with our constant symptoms, pains, fatigue, etc. We our home bound and have to order online for our needs for home delivering. Unfortunately ordering online is becoming over priced. It makes me mad that companies and sellers are at times tripling prices for their own gain and people like me our forced to deal with these prices when we have no other options. Now Walmart here I come $20 for 20lbs (includes shipping) - online of course. I also use arm and hammer in my baths to help detox w/ the salt btw. ** Original Review** Title: Very Impressed by the Quality and Quick Ship! I would highly recommend this product to those seeking bulk epsom salt. The epsom salt is fine and dissolves quickly in the tub...I like it a lot. I hated having to wait for the epsom salt to dissolve with other brands. This is perfect this dissolves almost immediately and works great...I would have to say it is the best epsom salt I have ever purchased. I would like to see them (San Francisco Salt Company) actually make a scented epsom salt and offer it in bulk. They shipped it quickly, I had it within three days. Very happy with the product and the seller plus with free shipping you cant beat it. The best deal. Thank you! :)

> 3 dayHow can you not love 20lbs of Epsom Salt?! What can we not do with Epsom Salt? Magnesium sulfate, or Epsom Salt, is used both externally and internally. Externally, Epsom salt is used as bath salts and in isolation flotation tanks, which are AWESOME for my Fibromyalgia. Internally, or taken orally magnesium sulfate, or Epsom salt, is commonly used as a laxative. Bathing in Epsom salts can ease stress, relax the body, relieve pain, lessen muscle cramps, help muscles and nerves function properly, prevent blood clots, make insulin more effective, and eliminate toxins. This is all done trans-dermally, meaning that the Epsom salt is soaked in to your system through your skin. Its amazing. You can also use it for athletes food, toenail fungus, soothe sprains & bruises, ease gout discomfort, exfoliate your skin, combat foot odor, clean with it by using it as a scrub, eliminate detergent build up in washing machines, fertilize house plants, green up your lawn, spray it on plants as a natural insecticide, and so much more! You can find more uses for it thru the Epsom Salt council. I also make my own scented bath salts. I take the Epsom salt in a big bowl and add about 1 table spoon of an essential oil to 20 lbs of salt. My go to scents are lavender, of course, and blood orange. From there, I would add a few drops of food coloring to epitomize the scent of the salts, purple (or one drop red & one drop blue) for lavender, and orange (or one drop red & 3 drops yellow) for blood orange. Then I will spread the salt out on a cookie sheet and bake in the oven on a low setting like 200 to let it dry out. This makes your house smell AMAZE BALLS. Then I store the dried, scented, colored salts in old timey glass candy jars with a scoop. This last way longer than the 3 lb for $7 you get at the local store. And you can make you Zen scent combo like rosemary, lavender and citrus, or Rose Lavender and cinnamon is also one of my favorites. Mmm, mmm good. Ive been thinking of buying a cheap, collapsible hot tub (or spa) and turning it in to a flotation take made with 100 lb of Epsom salt. I fear this amount of Epsom salt will destroy the motor that circulates the water and heats it simultaneously. I think Ill wait until the hot tub (or spa) is on its last legs, and turn it in to a mineral bath. I think that would be the cats meow!
