> 3 dayI bought a new Epson Home Cinema 3800. It came WITHOUT warranty brochure. In addition, the projector was wrapped with a thin foam sheet taped with adhesive tapes. How do I know that this is a new projector instead of a refurbished?

> 3 dayThis works really well. Easy to setup and use. Excellent picture. Brightness is really good. Kind of pricey but for the quality it’s worth it.

Greater than one weekEasy setup, quiet, beautiful picture quality with PS4 Update: 1 month in and it has a pixel in the middle of the display that is stuck on red. Lowering the rating due to this quality issue. I never had this issue with my old BenQ projector.

> 3 dayI have a dedicated home theater room with a 120 inch screen, surround sound, etc. I had a Panasonic projector that did OK for a number of years but its now about 8 years old and I was getting more and more disappointed with the image quality even though its a 1080 projector. My problem was that Id see something on my LG OLED and the Panasonic didnt come close. Theres also the fact that it was getting old and I wanted a better picture. Ive waited and waited for better projectors to hit the market. I wanted 4K but the prices were prohibitive. But, manufacturers started selling sorta 4K (my term) with HDR. So, I jumped in with this one. Setup was incredibly simple. I plugged in my HDMI cable, plugged in the power, turned it on and voila - it worked. I had to mess with it for a bit for my screen size and I had to dial down the color mode. The factory preset was dynamic which would probably be great for a bright family room but in my blacked out theater room - not so much. On that subject. There are four color mode presets - dynamic, bright cinema, natural, and cinema. You can change settings within each of these and you can save those changes. I have mine hanging from the ceiling and was able to adjust everything so the picture was straight on the screen. I dont use the speakers but I did give them a try so I could see what they were like. Theyre pretty average stereo speakers that do an OK job. If I was using this now and then in a family room or at work Id be happy with the sound but I prefer my 7.2 home theater setup. With 3000 lumens and 100,000:1 contrast ratio youd expect a great picture and you wouldnt be wrong. Like I said before, I had to dial the brightness down for my home theater but its nice to have it if I ever need it. I purposely watched the same movie (Avatar) back to back with my old Panasonic and then the Epson. No contest. The Epson was significantly sharper and brighter (in a good way) than my old 1080 projector. After movies, I fired up the XBox and played some games. I dont have any 4K games but the games I do have were much crisper than they were with the Panasonic. Ive tweaked a few settings since I got comfortable with this projector mostly because I could. Other than the color mode (brightness) it was really OK out of the box. Is it better than my 1080 projector? Heck yes. Is it better than my LG 65 inch OLED? No but its a heck of a lot closer than before.

Greater than one weekWe received this item....which we have been soooo excited about! And the power wont turn on. We tried all of their tips in the user manual and still nothing. It is soooo disappointing to pay so much for a product & wait so long for it to arrive defective. We are quite frustrated. I mean, thank goodness this wasnt for a business meeting or something so very important. Id say this is not reliable.

Greater than one weekReceived this on 3/18/21. This is a replacement for an older Epson projector. The difference in quality, clarity, brightness, and overall viewing pleasure is significant. The picture is so crisp and clear, I can see eye brow hairs on the butler in Downton Abby! So glad we purchased this product. We would highly recommend this. The whites are bright and I may adjust them down but would much rather brightness than dark and dull. My only regret is that we didnt upgrade sooner. I have a theater room and this projector is approximately 12-13 feet away from an 8x5 screen.

> 3 dayThe horizontal lens shift dial is defective and does not work. While Amazon is going to refund me, its a shame they sold this product and certified that it works properly when it in fact does not, which a phone call with Epson confirmed. Its a waste of time having to navigate these issues and return the item.

> 3 dayWe placed the unit about 18’ away from the screen wall, and the diagonal is about 160”. Even stretched to this size it is as clear or better than my 70” flatscreen! Never expected it to look this good.

> 3 dayThe flexibility is excellent, the optical lens shifting, full corner pinning and large zoom range, making the projectors placement extremely flexible. I have been using it for outdoor movies this summer, projecting to a 145 screen with ease. The three chip LCD design means no rainbow artifacts -- I replaced a DLP projector, as even slight rainbowing detracts from my movie experience. The colors are good, but just a tad less saturated in the default configuration as compared with the BenQ DLP I replaced. Eight movies later, Ive very happen with this purchase.

> 3 dayEpson 3800 4K HDR projector is not really a 4K projector. But it’s amazing and beautiful when you compare other 4K projectors in this price range. Brightness, HDR colors and contrast are absolutely great in this Epson 3800 Projector. It’s really a magical cinematic experience. I just connected it with my amazon firestick and the picture quality is awesome when I watch 4k movies from amazon, Netflix, hulu and even in YouTube. Other brands 4k projectors may be little more sharper than this projector. But no one can not beat the color, brightness and contrast of this Epson 3800 and the lens shift, keystone options are really helpful for set up. Constraints : Remote control is too big. Lens shift and keystone options are manual. HDR is not adjusting automatically. We need to setup manually based on the video content.
