12-06-2025I had never had a fanxiang drive before and was a little skeptic of using an unknow ( to me ) drive, but it has functioned perfectly so far.

> 3 dayThe label was not a lie. Its a 1tb ssd and it works. Took a few minutes to format it but a sinple YouTube search solved that. Not particularly and its still new, I will update it if it dies on me or corrupt easily. So far so good though

> 3 dayTwo issues. 1) Its oddly a slightly larger size than my last SSD by 1.5mm height and 1mm width, a Samsung 860 EVO. It would not fit in the SSD cage for my BeQuiet 802 case. I had to cable tie it in place. 2) The connections were upside down compared to my last SSD also. That part actually works in my favor, making the power connection and SATA cable easier. Yet, without the cage, I could turn the drive upside down if I wanted anyway. No problems so far in its performance, but only had it for a month at time of this review. I use it to hold all my games, and the load time is so much faster than my normal SATA harddrive.

10-06-2025These 512gb are replacements for the PNY 240s I have. The PNYs have been failing at around 24 months. I hesitated to get 512gb because the recovery process is much harder and most of the recovered files are corrupted. Something about the type of failure that isnt present in the older IDE drives. Chip corruption is different. Speed is OK, but backup to a solid and proven source often.

> 3 dayThe Fanxiang SSD drives function as expected in terms of speed, but as it is prominently displayed in the product ad that these drives come with a 3-year warranty, my understandable expectation is that Im purchasing a device inclusive of its warranty. That is not the case. Ive purchased several of these drives, and recently one cratered completely. I spent nearly a month trying to contact Fanxiang via the limited options offered. Short of calling the one phone number provided on their website which calls China, I tried all other methods several times. I never received any communication back from the company. A 3-year warranty isnt worth anything if a customer has no way of utilizing it when needed. For all intents and purposes, there is no warranty. I mentioned this to Amazon when I called them about the situation to levy a formal complaint that all the product ads here on Amazon for Fanxiang are false and misleading. Since one pays for a drive with warranty, and obstensibly receives a drive without warranty, then either Fanxiang needs to change all their ads to remove the promise of a warranty, change their warranty model to make it actually accessible, or Amazon should take appropriate action.

> 3 dayThe SSD slows down under a big load, but not to an unusable point. Its a cheap solution if you are in the need of an SSD.
