> 3 dayThe most dangerous blade is a blunt blade. Feathers are as far from blunt as youre going to get in the DE razor world. Before the Feathers, I had only used Derbys and store brand blades. The store blades cant compare, they were so awful. Derbys are pretty good but would dull out after the second shave, due to the coarseness of my beard. Feathers are noticeably more honed than the Derbys. They shave better and closer, with less time and effort. Bleeding was minimal. Irritation went away very quickly compared to other blades. If you have a coarse beard and shave with a DE razor, you owe it to yourself to try these out. I use an Edwin Jagger DE89 with these.

Greater than one weekI thought blades are just blades...not quite. I spent a couple more dollars on this brand and it is night and day from the other cheaper brands. The price difference is maybe about 10 cents per blade but well worth it. If you have to shave everyday, you will notice the difference and understand that here blades do an amazing job.

Greater than one weekMerkur, Derby, Israeli Personna... Ive tried just about all of them. Feather is where its at! Im using mine in a Merkur Futur set at the most aggressive setting (I forget whether that is 1 or 6). I started with them at the least aggressive setting, as these are easily the sharpest DE blades Ive ever put against my face. 1. Good prep is essential for these blades; they want to slide across well lubricated skin. Either learn to work up a rich lather (Trumper, taylor, truefitt etc.) or pick up Feathers nanka gel. If you cut corners on face prep, you may hack yourself up. 2. Light, light, technique is also essential. The weight of my razor is the only pressure I put on my face with these blades, my grip is so light I almost feel like I will drop my razor. 3. keep your skin taught. If your skin wrinkles under this blade, you will get razor burn or cut. If all of the above is right, it will feel like you are wiping lather and whiskers off your face.

> 3 dayAnd Ive tried somewhere around 20 different sample blades at this point in 10 different DE razors. Some friends think they are too sharp, but that is the whole point of having good razor blades - just take your time, pay attention and use a good shaving cream (not that stuff in the can they sell at Wal Mart) and you wont have any issues. I can normally get 5-7 days out of one blade.
