Found these by accident and they were discounted. We normally use these filters for our house but this was cheaper than we normally find in local stores. They arrived quickly and in good shape.

Originally I thought high end filter would get dirty/blocked easily due to high filter performance. But there is one things that I didnt consider. With the same size 14x24x1. 1900 would have larger filter area comparing to one I used before. (3M Clean Living 300) Roughly around 4 times larger, because clean living 300 filter fold around 11 times, while the filter of 1900 fold at least 40 times.

Its amazing how much junk this takes out of the air. After seeing a video on youtube about how to make your own air cleaner without paying hundreds of dollars for one, I duct taped one of these to a box fan and have it going in my living room. Im almost a bit ashamed about how much crap is apparently in my apartment air.

Like most one inch filters, the cardboard frame is a bit flimsy. I won’t count that against this one as it would be economically impossible to manufacture a super solid filter that’s only meant to be used for three months. I inserted it easily into my air return and it fit well. I did pay attention to the measurements when I ordered these. Some brands are so much smaller that they can move around in the opening when the a/c is running. These are a really good fit. The test will be how well they work on allergens. My dust allergies have gotten so much worse and I need all the help I can get. My a/c unit has a thick, expensive five inch filter in the attic but it does not help that much with the a/c running almost nonstop this past summer. I previously had filters in all three air returns but when I had my system balanced a few years ago, the technician suggested I leave those filters out. I bought air purifiers and they are helping in the rooms they are in but I wanted a more whole house approach. We’ll see what happens after three months with these in all the returns.
