I really like this brand but over the last year we have to bend the frame to get it into the vent frame. I hope they will recheck measurements to make sure it stays within given sizes.

I have had difficulty finding this size of filter in the local stores in anything other than the flimsiest style. This is a brand that I like and it was so much easier to order them and have t hem delivered than spend time trying to find them. I could have ordered from the big box stores, but it was easier with Amazon. They came boxed well with no crimps or bends.

When you see the 3M name on anything it usually indicates top of the line quality. Not for this particular order. First of all ,the original order was lost and from viewing the pictures you can see why they were lost. These expensive filters were damaged because they got bent from not being shipped in box. Some of the plastic wrap is off exposing the filters already to dirt prior to me receiving them. Under normal circumstances, these filters are worth the money because they help with easing my allergies by capturing most of the airborne irritants before I breathe them in. I would easily give 5 stars with for the filters, but the packaging impacts the score. It’s the worst I’ve ever seen. This is terrible!

Works well as a cheap filter on my 20 inch box fan.

THESE FILTERS MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE WITH INTERNAL AIR QUALITY.

So every couple times a year you need to order new air filters. I ordered these before and simply just clicked re-order from my last order. Then they arrived and I realized when I really ordered the manufacture description actually changed and they’re the wrong size. They are indeed sadly had to return them when I was desperate to use them. I requested a refund from the manufacture right away and hope they well honor a full return refund including shipping. When they Change an item, they should create a new item code so people don’t actually get the wrong one with a re-order. Other brands I’ve continued to order for a decade with that simple touch free order button, but this one be aware sizes may change.

Our home is OLD, built in 1958, & as we all know old homes are never standard size anything! We just replaced our old and bent up wall Air Filter Grille. In specific, we purchased a 24 x 14 Steel Return Air Filter Grille for 1 Filter-Removable Face/Door - HVAC DUCT COVER (white), w/OUTER size dimensions (that goes on outside of walll) of 26.5w x 16.5.h We also purchased that on Amazon. This filter is absolutely the perfect fitting for this grille. To install filter inside the grill, without bending as some reviews complain of, all you have to do is gently tap on the inside little metal things w/a small hammer (dont know what its called) that get in the way of installing the filter (located on both the top and bottom of where filter gets installed in its designated slot). If you tap with a hammer gently first to push down those metal things (without totally smashing), this filter will then easily insert in without jamming the filter, causing it to bend. We had to jury-rig our new intake grate this filter fits into to cover up every speck of wall opening from the original dummy that installed the old grate in 58. We framed our existing opening with wood then painted it white to match, then neatly caulked the outside wood frame on the wall. Now it looks great and this filter is custom made for this. I like the filters 1900 rating. If you are sensitive to dust, etc, then getting this filter is a must! Its good for up to 3 months, however, should the filter become dark, its not that the filter is bad but it is because the air quality in your home is terrible. We will check filter in 1 month and see what kind of job it is doing. I just installed this and will update my review. Im probably going to change it every 6 wks for the first few changings to help get the nasty air trapped then after that Ill change it every 2-3 months, depending on how dirty it gets. Once it gets dirty enough to see grey/light dirt, thats when my allergies and dry nose & eyes acts up. I purchased the 2-pack of filters. Those whom complain that the 2nd (or additional) filters are unwrapped, well, I found the very simple solution is to simply to place the unused filter in a clean trash bag for the next filter-change and it remains dust-free. just re-use that same trash bag for the next back-up filter order that is re-ordered on Amazon. Not a hassle or problem at all. You will have better luck getting the exact filter you need on Amazon than most other stores. At least in my area of Reno, NV.

I purchased this cause where I was getting the filter, the cost of a single one is about the cost of these two I just purchased. I will start to purchase these instead of the single one here. The comparison is exactly the same for the higher rated filter and will keep purchasing them to filter the air coming out of my AC/Heating unit.
