Excellent material, worked like a charm, all the adhesive and home button is already there so it saves you so much time.

This was installed on an iPad Air (A1474). The instructions are helpful for getting the old screen out, but there was no instructions for installation. This screen had cables bent in positions that did not allow installation from those angles, so it took some trial and error to find a way to tuck them in place where everthing still worked. That meant NOT removing any of the adhesive protectors until the absolute very end and after the screen was tested for full function. Then once everything was together, we noticed (Murphs Law, of course) that the home button was loosely rattling around in its space and not returning to the top of the screen. It still works, but regularly needs coaxing into its proper position. Im not certain where that failure occurred in the installation process or whether it is a defect - I didnt adequately inspect its function prior to the install, only that it initially and superficially appeared normal. So, I suggest that you check the home button function prior to installation. Update ~30 days later - the adhesive has loosened causing the screen to lift in places around the bottom outer-shell. This is not acceptable! I paid close attention to clean procedures, so this should not have happened if a quality adhesive was used.

Great product that I ordered, it took me 20 minutes to replacement the broken one. My mom she is so happy with new screen. Even though this is very old model iPad, she still uses it for movies. Now she said she can use it for 2 more years? I guess or I hope lol. Good quality and easy to install. Update 7/14/2020 Only a month and half, the screen is flashing all the time, and there is no external damage of the screen. I believe the cable connector is messed up, so I have to purchase another one

My daughter dropped her IPad last year. The screen was shattered but still worked. We were told it would cost $150 to replace the screen by someone else, or we replace the iPad altogether. We considered getting a new one until I found this product. My husband and I aren’t technically savvy or have the experience in fixing electronics, but we were able to replace the screen. It took about two hrs, mainly because the old screen was such a mess. Then when it came to put the new screen on there wasn’t directions, so we YouTubed how and found what we needed. I think my husband was second guessing the steps to reattach the connectors, but the new screen is on. I have a happy daughter. Definitely worth the try to save the money. Only negative which isn’t really the company’s fault is I thought I ordered a black screen but I got a white. So now she was a white screen with a space gray IPad. No biggie though.

Home Button did not work. Got a refund, buying from other supplier. I checked connection twice..

Nice kit but the home button is junk. It slipped under the screen and stopped working.

Fairly straightforward glass replacement but the adhesive for the screen doesn’t hold and the home button fell out within 3 days of use

MY ADVICE...TAKE YOUR TIME! Overall the product is well made. Definitely worth it if you take your time, recommend using a heat gun or blower to soften the adhesive on the side. Slowly and gently removing each side. Mine was heavily cracked so use clear tape! The rest is pretty easy to remove digitizer and be gentle when removing the chips from the board. Replace with new screen and connect all cables, and youre good. Also be gentle with the digitizer, try not to touch that during the process. Overall Im satisfied! The only gripe I have is with the flimsy home button thats provided with the new screen. I simply removed it and replaced it with the old one. Good to go!
