> 24 hourThe package contains a set of tools that will come in handy. However, there are no instructions with explanations of what the tools are for or how to use them. You will have to find a YouTube video that will give instructions for your specific iPad. The package didn’t contain anything to attach the new screen with. Fortunately I had some super glue which is what they used in several YouTube videos that I watched. The process is very involved and not easy. After I reassembled my iPad it seemed to work great at first, while it was laying flat on my desk. But as soon as I pick it up it turns off. I’m afraid to try and take it back apart to find the problem so I have to operate it laying flat on a table.

> 24 hourOverall good product, I’ve tried to install without using extra adhesive strips and it peeled off the next day. So you do need extra adhesive, but once it’s done, works and holds really well.

> 24 hourThis is a difficult job for me as a first-timer, but the directions (although tiny) and included tools were extremely helpful. There wasn’t any adhesive to fold back the digitizer connector, at least if I understood that correctly. I tore off a piece of the tape that kept it closed originally to keep it folded. Overall, I’m pleased with the purchase, but there are some improvements needed. The instructions could be included online; the website wasn’t up at the time of this writing. My main complaint is that the digitizer is coming up. I now have to buy some tape and reinstall it. It would’ve been nice if take was included or if it was recommended.

> 24 hourThis was relatively easy to install, all things equal. Android tablets seem to have the most simple way to change a screen, and Apple seems to like to make things difficult. You cannot fault the manufacturer of the screen, but Apple. It took me about 40 mins all told to heat up and remove old screen, get the everything apart to remove all of old screen connections, and then re-install new screen. It went right in and was done with no muss or fuss. Did have some screws strip out, but that is again an Apple issue, they want you to shell out the money for them to fix it. To help improve adhesion, I heated up the screen and thus the adhesive before putting it in. Just hit it with heat gun for a minute or so and stuck it on. Almost a month later and the screen is still holding in place. Worth the price.

> 24 hourI ordered 2 of these and they both arrived shattered. It’s not hard to see why; their packaging is awful. They come in really thin cardboard boxes and the foam you see in the photos isn’t tight fitting, so it has plenty of room to get shaken up. It also arrived with only 1 tool kit, which as both screens were for me doesn’t matter too much, but more the issue of me having paid for 2 full sets and not receiving all of it. Pretty frustrated with the whole experience as I can’t repair anything until I order new ones. I am attempting to repair these devices to reduce waste, and yet here I am needing to create more waste in returning the damaged goods which I assume will go directly to landfill. Don’t bother with these!

> 24 hourOk, the title is a bit misleading, I actually erroneously ordered the white instead of the black. Probably an option I missed somewhere, but Im not much one to care about the color so I used it anyway. The package came very quickly, well before other Items I ordered days earlier. It was packed in a bubble envelope, but the box was fine as were the contents. I already have tools from several other iPad/iPhone/Macbook mishaps, but this one had the metal chisel and tweezers as well as a bunch of guitar picks. As others have mentioned, removing the old screen and the adhesive residue takes the longest. Mine was pretty cracked from two corner impacts, so removal was slow going and required several passes with the heat gun. Installation was a breeze and touchscreen works beautifully. I just completed the install, so I cant speak to the long term durability of the screen or adhesive, but it seems to be pretty solidly held in place. I also didnt notice any issues with the interior or exterior glass covers leaving residue; the screen looks perfect. It was just an iPad mini 2 that I had been using for a few things, but got tired of pieces of glass catching my fingers and stopped using it because I didnt want to spend over $100 on an item I only use occasionally. But $25 and a bit of my time made it worthwhile. All told, it was about an hour and a half, a good chunk of that was removing the residue from the frame and pounding the corners back into place. Were I not as particular in removing the glue and if the corners were good, it would have taken about 30-45 minutes.

> 24 hourI fix things. If you dont, its best to leave this alone and send it to a repair shop. I bought 2 of these, the first to fix my wifes ipad mini 2, the second to fix my daughters. It worked, but took me a full day for each. One thing that is not apparent is the plastic film you need to remove from the gasket in order to seal the new digitizer. Its very difficult to see, but its there and you need to remove it. It would be nice if this company had a youtube video of their own to help you, but you have to rely on other suppliers videos to get the job done. No instructions included and the instructions provided in the ad are minimal. But it works.

> 24 hourThe instructions say you may use a hair dryer but it doesn’t get hot enough to soften the adhesive. So if you can use a heat gun, do so. My screen was totally smash so the suction cup didn’t help much. For that to work it needs a preferably uncracked part of the screen. Otherwise, use the nice selection of tools provided Ed to dig it out. All in all you have to have a half a brain to complete this repair. I wore latex gloves to protect from shards of glass. Also use containers such as an egg carton when you remove the screws and label where they go. The only disappointment which is one of the most important things is the adhesive. After you transfer the magnets and pull your adhesive protectors off you would think it should be set it and forget it. I tried weighing it down over night and the glass still is popping up. Everything works fine but the original glass has much more adhesive to hold the glass in place.

> 24 hourThe glass is working great, however once I installed the glass the very last step was to remove the protective film on the front side of the glass (the side that you touch to use the ipad) ...... The film did not come off easily, when I got the film off the glass looked HORRIBLE, i had nothing that would clean the glass, even goo gone, nothing would clean it.... I finally got a razor blade and had to scrape the glass for about 30 minutes to clean it up..... Other than that the digitizer has been perfect so far. The protective film that was on the side facing the LCD came off easily, not sure what happened on the other side..
