> 3 dayI purchased this screen replacement for my ipad mini2 hoping to bring my tablet back to its original state before one of my kids broke it (although none of them are willing to fess up who dropped it.) I watched a few YouTube videos and it look fairly easy so I gave it a go. Some hour or so later, I had a brand new looking tablet for a very inexpensive price. It shouldnt take that long but I was having a really hard time separating the old screen. It kept breaking into tinier pieces and tiny glass shards kept flying everywhere plus I was being extra careful not to breakthe LCD screen when I got to it. The first 2 pictures are the before...obviously! And the second 2 are after. The last picture shows a teeny tiny gap between the edge of the screen and the frame. Thats because the adhesive that comes attached to the screen is not that great and pulls apart on the sides only. If I had to do it again, I would buy additional adhesive strips to put down. I am not concerned because I am planning on putting a hefty case on now that will push/hold down the screen. Other than that, I think it is a great product and I would definitely buy it again!

21-11-2024It works. Very easy to install. Biggest issue they don’t give any instructions how to. The hardest part is taking off your old screen. There is not any formal YouTube instruction. I had to dig and found one not sponsored. Another warning is. I thought it did not work or I had done something wrong. It would not turn on normally. You need to reboot after you finished installing. Hold home button and side button at same time for a few seconds.

> 3 dayOverall the installation was simple. Took about 30 minutes. The package came with a set of detailed instructions and tools. Local shop asked $100 to fix the screen. This $20 replacement was both affordable and high quality. The adhesive could be better but nothing some silicon glue wouldnt fix

28-11-2024Great product. Ive tried two other sellers for the exact same product and this one comes closest to the original. I feel that the adhesive is not strong enough like many other reviewers, but I just added my own super strong adhesive and there have been no problems. I also feel that this seller provides the best tools for the replacement. The guitar picks help a lot to keep you from scratching the LCD screen. Best advice I can give... 1. Watch a Youtube video that uses a magnified view of the process, where the person in the video is actually talking to you, and you dont have to read captions. 2. The connectors inside the ipad are weak and break easily if you dont go very slowly and disconnect them just right. Trust me, if this happens, unless you know how to solder, youll have to take it to a repair shop anyway. 3. Watch the video all the way through first, and dont do anything until they tell you to. 4. If they skip any steps, find a different video. 5. Find an old, soft-bristled paint brush or clean make-up brush. Use this instead of blowing on the ipad to remove dust or broken glass. 6. Stick a strip of double-sided tape to a sheet of paper. As you take out screws, line them up on the tape strip and write on the paper below where they came from. Draw pictures and label each set of screws. Youll be glad you did it when youre trying to put it all back together! 7.Above all, take your time and be patient! Hope this helps! Happy Replacing!

> 3 dayComplete kit with video link that made it so easy to remove the broken screen and put in the new. No issues at all with installation or screen interaction

> 3 dayThis kit came just as described. I gave it 4/5 because the instructions are not very good. I did have to watch a YouTube video to help me get through it. But the screen works and I am happy with it. There are some negative reviews regarding the adhesive material, it definitely is not as strong of a hold as the original adhesive but it did stick well enough. I have a case on it now so Im not worried about it.

Greater than one weekI ordered 2 of these and they both arrived shattered. It’s not hard to see why; their packaging is awful. They come in really thin cardboard boxes and the foam you see in the photos isn’t tight fitting, so it has plenty of room to get shaken up. It also arrived with only 1 tool kit, which as both screens were for me doesn’t matter too much, but more the issue of me having paid for 2 full sets and not receiving all of it. Pretty frustrated with the whole experience as I can’t repair anything until I order new ones. I am attempting to repair these devices to reduce waste, and yet here I am needing to create more waste in returning the damaged goods which I assume will go directly to landfill. Don’t bother with these!

> 3 dayThe digitizer is working good so far. The only cons I have with this product are; the tape that comes on the digitizer, it isnt strong at all, and the second thing is the home button. After I finished the install the home button was very loose and I really had to press down in order to get it to click. Other than that its a great product, loved the tools that were included and thanks for covering all the copper for me to avoid the ghost tapping.

> 3 dayThis is a GREAT kit. The adhesive is not super strong but I have never ordered a kit that had adhesive as strong as the original, I get around it by using a case and have no problems. I installed this kit according to a you tube video and the first time it took me FOREVER. Easily an hour. I got the whole thing disassembled, replaced, reassembled, and the screen wouldnt come on. You have to unplug the LCD screen to get to the glass screens connector. So I took it back apart to see if the connection was secure, it was, unfortunately, put it back together, nothing. Set it aside and a few months later, started searching on replacement LCD screens, thinking I had fried it.I found one that had a comment unplug battery if LCD isnt recognized, it will force the ipad to recognize the new LCD screen. So I took it back apart (now Ive got it down to about 10 minutes. :) ) and just popped out the battery connector and plugged it back in and the darn thing started right up. I had forgotten to turn off the ipad before I started, maybe if I would have remembered that step, I wouldnt have had to unhook the battery...

Greater than one weekThe glass is working great, however once I installed the glass the very last step was to remove the protective film on the front side of the glass (the side that you touch to use the ipad) ...... The film did not come off easily, when I got the film off the glass looked HORRIBLE, i had nothing that would clean the glass, even goo gone, nothing would clean it.... I finally got a razor blade and had to scrape the glass for about 30 minutes to clean it up..... Other than that the digitizer has been perfect so far. The protective film that was on the side facing the LCD came off easily, not sure what happened on the other side..
