> 3 dayThis Fluance RT85 is the best value of their line, Ortofan BLUE cartridge $236 retail, Acrylic Platter $120 retail...youre getting their best platform for under$150! Dont waste money upgrading from the 83/84, 82 is a lesser platform, 80-81 are basically AT-60s. while the Project and Regas have more upgrade options....at $500 this is easily worth $650-$750. compared to higher priced tables. While initial tonearm balancing/stylus alignment is a chore for the first time novice....within an hour....your listening to your albums like youve never heard before. 5 stars all around....maybe just replace cuing lever/tonearm with carbon fiber instead of aluminum/plastic....would make it 6 stars!

> 3 daySounds wonderful. I’m hearing so much more, the soundstage is vast and immersive! Connected to the Fluance preamp with a 20ft rca run to my amp, and although that’s probably not the most ideal setup, it’s still light years ahead of my previous setup with a technics LP120. What an absolute pleasure. Love the auto return feature too. To my ears it sounds better than my friend’s Pro-Ject EVO when connected to the same system too. Go for it!

> 3 dayIt took my husband forever to figure out how to set up the tone arm properly, using the instructions, internet/youtube advice and how-to videos. But everything else was pretty easy between the two of us figuring it out (instructions are, as with most electronic equipment these days, not always easy to decipher). But I cannot ignore the fact that it looks fantastic and albums sound awesome. I have many Fluance speaker systems throughout the house, and this is my second Fluance turntable. I have always been entirely satisfied with their products. This was no exception.

> 3 dayBought this after reading several reviews and I am not disappointed. Finally able to listen to my old record collection again. Noticeable difference in sound quality over my old 1980;s Kenwood turntable. I paired it with a decent pre-amp and I think many of my old records sound better than ever. Set up was easy but you need to take your time and do it right.

> 3 dayOrdered a RT85 from Fluance and although the table is very nice looking, the dust cover had a slice off the bottom missing. Kinda like when you slice cheese off the block and its uneven. I called customer service and they wanted me to send some pictures. I sent them off and when they responded, they told me it was a factory defect that happens. Okay, so are you sending a new dust cover or?? Nope, we are not sending you one. I was miffed to say the least so I sent it back for a refund. A small issue like I had, lost them a 500$ sale because of poor quality control and poor management. The other issue was that the table had poor isolation which sounded like a microphone when tapping on the plinth. Looks are not everything so buyer beware. Disappointed.
