Greater than one weekShort answer: buy a cheap blank vinyl and test antiskate yourself, its cheap, easy, and a fun thing to say you know better than the average bear. Youll also be protecting your investment, even if it is by a small degree of wear and tear.

> 3 dayI bought this, and a preamp, for my old records. It does not require a mat under the record if you are using vinyl, but I did waste some time looking for one (that was asked for) until I found the wording that said one was not sent for this machine, and was not needed. The instructions were for more than one machine, and that was confusing.

> 3 dayI read all the reviews of this turntable and was convinced by them to proceed with confidence. The turntable is by far the best Ive ever owned (starting in the mid-1960s) or used. Its exquisite and purposeful to the finest detail: Fluance even included gloves to keep the parts free of hand contamination while putting it together! And the little balancing bubble-unit to make sure the TT is truly flat: wow, what a nice touch. Not that there was much to put together ... the steps were fluid and simple, and so within minutes I was using it. Note that this purchase was part of a whole new system to replace one that was twenty years old, so its part of an ensemble of vastly improved sound. But the turntable is definitely the coolest, most eye-catching component in my 2.1 Klipsch/Onkyo set-up. Fluance? The best.
