> 24 hourEverything arrived just as described. I experienced some touch issues with the first screen immediately after install and I manage to crack the bottom right corner at the end of the process. I reached out to the company and explained the problems and after verifying my purchased, they shipped me a replacement. I received the replacement one day later and reinstalled with no issues. The only two things negative I would say is that the install video isnt the best but it shows the basics (plenty of other videos on YouTube). The other is already stated in their description and thats the loss of touch ID unless you use your existing home button. Other than that, great product and I would definitely order again if I had to replace another screen.

> 24 hourREPLACEMENT SCREEN: confirmed the latest version of this screen replacement works with a pen. Company took a bit to get this replacement to me. They communicated during late evening hours. This is day one and my pen works. Will update after a few months to confirm its still true. OCT 2022 purchase: Spent time with customer support for my pen only to figure out the screen replacement was to blame. Screen worked with finger but never with a Logitech crayon. Need the crayon for my creative business or would not have been an issue. Cost me some hours of work time and a delay for my client.

> 24 hourThis was my first iPad that I fixed. I have fixed several things (iPhone, washing machine, dishwasher , vacuum….) in my past but this was tougher than I imagined. The bottom line is “this product works.” But there are couple hiccups that ends up with problems. One is tape, which suppose to hold the screen tight, is loose so there is a gap between screen and iPad itself. I have to tape it from outside to close it. The other one is a home button. This screen came with a home button. I should have kept the old one but I was bother to remove the new one so I decided to remove the old… that was huuuuuuge mistake. As I tried to remove it, the connector broke. The glue that hold down the home button connector was way strong. I don’t recommend to remove it. If I ever do again, I would keep the old one. Now I have a home button assistant on the screen so it works, tho. I just wanted to give a life to my broken IPad so I have no complaint about the purchase but be aware….

> 24 hourI bought two of these screens from the same seller in the past month. The first one was broken during installation. The second screen was installed without any problem. The iPad works like a new one except for the touch screen. In the package of my second order, there was a card saying we refund if there is an installation accident , I contacted the seller, and he/she is very responsive (within 24hr), and agreed to refund me.

> 24 hourMy early/mid-life iPad suffered a pretty bad screen break and it got worse over a few weeks of trying to use it. Without Applecare, they charge almost the cost of a replacement to repair it. There are a few local repair places that offered to fix it for about 1/2 of that, but they had pretty mixed reviews, so this was worth a try. Short answer is that it works. If you are patient and comfortable with doing work on tiny, awkward things, its WELL WORTH the money to try this. There is a good YouTube video or two on doing the repair and I recommend watching them a few times and allowing yourself a few hours to do the repair. The worst part for me (and the video guy) was getting the broken screen off and getting it cleaned up. I do own a heat gun, a watch makers loupe and a set of precision tweezers that Im pretty good with (amateur watchmaker). The kit comes with all/most of the tools you need, I did buy a smaller philips head screwdriver from my corner hardware store. It took me a couple of hours and I had a problem getting it to work at first. Its tough to say if the problem was me or the kit, but there is a card in the kit to email them if you have an issue, before initiating a return or leaving a negative review. I did so without much hope mid-day on Saturday and got a reply almost instantly that turned into a series of helpful and almost real time exchanges on how to resolve the issue. So, the person or people selling these are legit and the most service oriented Ive experienced in decades, which is a wonderful surprise. The bottom line is that my iPad is back in action for a fraction of the cost of a replacement. I dont think that I did a perfect job with it. Getting the screen seated perfectly is something that might take me a few more tries to get right, but its back in commission and I needed it to be. If I see an amazing black Friday deal...its possible that I may still replace it, but I dont need to right now, so this kit was 100% worth the expense, time, and effort. Go for it, as long as youre down for going slowly and doing the work.

> 24 hourI ordered this to rescue a childs cherished iPad with a recently-shattered screen, and it worked very well. This was my first venture into a screen replacement, and the aftermarket part itself was perfect. There are no instructions to speak of, but there are several excellent step-by-step videos on YouTube which I followed slavishly and with good results. The tools provided in this kit arent really up to the job. Ive done several phones since doing this: investing in an inexpensive metal spudger makes the job easier, as does a good micro screwdriver and a good metal electronics tweezer. Heating with an adjustable heat gun (like the one on a soldering station) set to 100 degrees centigrade worked for me in melting the glue, though peeling off the old screen was by far the toughest part of this job. A silicone electronics repair mat is useful, too. I salvaged the fingerprint reader from the old screen setup hoping to preserve that function, which added quite a bit of time to the job, and found after transferring it that it wouldnt work anyway with the new screen, so should have used the one already connected in this replacement screen. (The manufacturer says up front that the fingerprint function wont work after replacing the screen, but entering the four-digit code to open and to shop the Apple Store isnt all that much of a burden, and thats the only difference.) A good replacement screen that made the iPad look and function like new (except for the fingerprint reader), and Id definitely buy the same one again.

> 24 hourIt had came with everything that I needed to repair the ipad screen. I followed the steps thoroughly and it was very detailed in manner. It came with all the tools, the screen , a protector for the screen and adhesive for the screen replacement. It aligned up perfectly. I would post pic of finished product but upon placing the case I had accidently broke the screen , and had learned upon turning it on that it wasnt just the top glass my lcd screen was also broke. I give this 5 stars for the directions and products being as stated and it worked well. Will be buying again in the future to finish fixing both of my ipads.
