Kind of messy but a wonderful birthday gift for my grandson

For all the people leaving 1 star reviews because your kids made a mess. This is not an issue with the product but an issue with your expectations and knowing nothing about the the element. Dont buy some random element your kid saw an experiment with without researching it. Furthermore you should be supervising use. 1 star parenting.

Everything I have seen online makes it look like it melts in your hand like chocolate on a hot day. In reality it took quite a while to melt, at least for me. I guess that makes sense. Ice takes a while to melt and your hand is 50f or so above the melting point. For this it is only a few degrees at best. In hot water it melts fairly quickly but takes a while to solidify. Still cool.

This stuff is super cool. Its really fun to hold a chunk in your hand and let it melt. I would give 5 stars, but the packing wasnt the best. The tube that the gallium was in leaked a bit, so the inside of the plastic bag with it had some gallium in it. This isnt a huge deal, but gallium is super hard to clean off of anything, so it took a bit of work to clean off the tube of gallium.

Purchased so i could teach my nephew about interesting minerals. He was extremely excited and the product melted in your hand as it said. The product does take awhile to melt so dont think its instantaneous. Excellent product

Cool stuff. Wasnt expecting much but I was at least hoping it would come with the mold that has 3 cubes. It came with one with 2 cubes.

Imagine if this product was for sand, all these folks saying its a mess like the product is bad. The product is great, its proper gallium and the quality is quite pure - end of argument. If youre rating 1 star on an elemental material because its messy, you should have a better understanding of what youre buying. It does exactly what its supposed to for a great price, this is exactly what 5 stars are for. I bought sand, got everywhere, 0/5 my user error will now dictate the success of a product because I dont understand elements.

Son just loves this! It’s easy to melt and mold and never really any mess. He always melts it in a bowl with warm water. Wash up and clean up is a breeze. It’s been a hit with all his friends.
