Gamehide Mens Upland Vest

Well made, sized right.

This vest is a great value for the price. I use it for pheasant hunting and it easily carries 2 birds (bag limit where I live). Its pockets are big enough to carry my usual load out (about 12 shells, cell phone, dog treats and extra gloves) . Its definitely on the bigger size so keep that in mind when ordering.

I purchased this vest right before a week-long late season pheasant hunt, and I wanted to put it through its paces before writing a review. This vest is very comfortable, and it distributes the weight of shells and birds very well. It seems to be well stitched, and I had no issues with the zipper or the snaps on the pockets. It doesnt snag very much when moving through extremely thick bird cover, and it doesnt seem to affect your range of motion when trying to shoulder and swing your shotgun. I got the OD green version, and I think it is pretty good looking. Plus it has plenty of blaze orange to keep the game wardens happy. I usually keep my shells in one pocket and my gloves in the other, and the pockets have plenty of room for these. One thing I will mention as I have seen other reviewers do, is the size. It seems to run a little large, so be aware of that before you purchase. I wear an XL size shirt and coat, and I ordered this vest in size L. It fit perfect, and not only could I comfortably wear it over the top of a hooded sweatshirt, I also wore it over my heavy carhartt coat and it still worked well enough. The best thing about this is the price. I looked at my local stores, and the upland vests were all around $80 to $100. With this vest I feel like I got about the same quality at half the price. I would definitely recommend this to any upland hunter, and when I wear this one out I will probably purchase another one.

Vest is good quality. I can not wait to go bird hunting with it.

Way to big

My husband purchased this for me so that I could have a nice hunting vest for when we go squirrel hunting. Prior to this vest all I had was a simple orange mesh one held together with Velcro with no pockets. I must say, this vest is awesome! It zips up the front and the zipper seems really sturdy. He purchased this in a medium to make sure it would fit over my winter coat or a thick pull over and it will do just that. Its also not too bulky for the early part of the squirrel season when its still warm enough to go without a jacket. The orange and brown complement each other well and it has really nice large pockets for carrying ammo, a knife, or whatever else. The game pocket in the back is great. I think he may be jealous of my vest now!

A little big but okay

It came in early and is very good quality but their sizing is extremely wrong I wear a 4xl shirt and I ordered a 2xl vest cause I dont wear jackets and it says order one size down if youre gonna wear just a shirt so I ordered a 2xl and its massive on me its so big I put on a 4xl dickies jacket and it was still big over that so if youre going to buy this and you dont wear a jacket and you just want it over your shirt order 2 to 3 sizes down cause if you order just 1 size down youll be swimming in it

Sturdy and well constructed. Nice big pockets. So far so good.
