> 3 daySays every outlet in my house is wired wrong, units probably correct, but there might be other options of wiring this unit needs to accept.

> 3 dayThis is a great tool for the Convenient Store refrigeration guy, or anyone else just looking to confirm proper ground/power situation. A quick diagnosis and simple to understand. I have a few of these and they all still perform well. Gave them to my Service Techs as gifts, and saves time. Especially up here in the Northeast, where lots of folks do their own wiring the Yankee way... nuff said???

> 3 dayThis works well, I dont have to find a lamp or toaster to find out if an outlet is getting power. I have another that is just two probes but you have to get them in correctly, mess around for a bit. This thing you just plug in and voila! (or not). I am a novice and a bit afraid of electricity. I can install fixtures, repair lamps, hookup outlets and switches, but nothing more complicated than that. I believe this is essential for homeowners. I recommend.

> 3 dayThis outlet tester works great. Not only does it test regular outlets it also test GFI outlets. We purchased a house and I figured why not tested each outlet. I found one of the outlets had no ground so I took it apart to take a look and found that the original owner of the house added that outlet and used no code wire that does not have a ground. So I had to fix it. Thankfully this tool found it for me.

> 3 dayThe price is great. However, the two flat prongs are not properly aligned when the unit is viewed from the side. Consequently, the unit is very difficult, and in some cases impossible, to insert in to some outlets. The first unit I received was exchanged due to this issue and the second item still had plugs that were not properly aligned, but were better. This is clearly some manufacturing (or design) error and should be addressed. However, for such a low price, its tolerable.

> 3 dayIt does what it suppose to but you need to use it with a non contact voltage detector as a 2nd tester. All these type of testers does the same thing. Some better than others and this one does a great job but none detects if the plug is a reverse bootleg (reverse polarity with the ground connected to the hot line). It will show as correct but it really isnt. Thats where you need a non contact voltage detector. A reverse bootleg will have the entire receptical electrified/hot and using a voltage detector will beep when you get close to the receptical when it should only beep when you stick it to the hot slot. If this happens call an electrican to fix it or fix it yourself if you know what you are doing.

> 3 dayIt does exactly what its supposed to do, and allowed me to identify problem outlets in my new house.
