I have had a lot of problems with this thing working reliably. Software updates were done but it just sometimes stops working partially or fully. You never know when it might just freak out. Paired with rear radar unit and that feature is nice. Still, I do seem to have to remove and re-add sensors, reset it or just give up sometimes and ignore it. Widh I had not upgraded.

The things I like about my 1030 Plus is the battery last a Long time before it needs recharging!!!! My 820 garmin needed to be charged after only a few hours of use. The 1030 Plus operates smoothly in every way

The Garmin 1030 is blind even with GPS eyes. It is nowhere close to as simple and user friendly as the Garmin 1000. Its app installed to my phone, shows speed, presents a location map and reports GPS access is ok but always fails to show distance. Ive registered it with Garmin, installed and linked it to my smart phone, studied all instructions, negotiated an endless series of screens and googled how to setup and use it to report distance cycled. Still fails. Im 100% fed up this this overly complex Rube Goldberg expression of complex and meaningless steps leading nowhere. It simply does not report distance cycled. Returning the 1030 and going back to my trusty Garmin 1000

I was hoping that my first head unit purchase, after using my phone for years, would be the upgrade I needed for better battery life and rain protection. Well this product succeeds with those features; however there is a widely publicized flaw I missed--the mounting plate that attaches the unit to the mount is weak and fails.

I’m extremely happy with this computer. Everything works just perfect the sensors are great too. Very nice bundle to get!!!

The overview of the Garmin user interface is a bit arcane. I eventually got to where I was very happy with the Edge 700 but it took a while. This is clearly going to take a while too. I would have designed it differently from the beginning.

Ive been using Garmin Edge cycling computers ever since 2014, and for the most part Ive liked them. Ive had the Edge 1000, Edge 1030, and now the Edge 1030 Plus. Unfortunately I couldnt get the Edge 1030 Plus to work with my iPhone 11 Pro. I tried pairing it again and again, and it didnt work until maybe 15 attempts. It finally did pair, but I was nervous that this would be an ongoing problem, so I unpaired it, and tried to pair it again. I was never able to pair it again, so I ended up returning it.
