Well this product succeeds with those features; however there is a widely publicized flaw I missed--the mounting plate that attaches the unit to the mount is weak and fails.

This happens frequently as shown by numerous web sites that provide a make-shift patch switch that you can glue on when this happens. This seems like a serious flaw and wonder if its the same switch setup on the 1030?
