> 3 dayI had an Edge 520+ before this device and its navigation features just did not work for mountain biking. So I bought this device for its touted mountain biking friendly features. I was hoping that one of these features was an improved navigation for mountain biking. WRONG! I have the following issues, with either a Traiforks or Garmin Connect route loaded on the device

20-04-2025This is the Mountain bike bundle and it was purchased for use on a mountain bike. The screen is capacitive touch and as such doesnt work reliably with most full-finger glovers (which most mountain bike rider use). In rain hard enough to accumulate droplets the screen will start to suffer phantom touch events which makes it even harder to use (you can lock it so it at least wont screw something up, but then you can no longer swap screens to look at the map).

> 3 dayMy boyfriend and I have really liked this computer. It does way more than weve utilized so far but the ease of use and customization is great. Durable and great for shredding the gnar!

> 3 dayI use this to track my cycling routes/miles and hiking and I really love this computer. Theres not much instructional and learning how to run it though but there are videos online that helped me.

Greater than one weekI like the touch screen. It works like a charm (even with gloves)....very EASY TO PROGRAM. All things work seamless incuding Garmin varia lights, cadence counters, etc. Super easy to add other devices. The maps and navigation are excellent. Kinda pricey when compared to the 530, but I think you will be glad you spent the extra $ to get the 830. The only small inconvenience is the start/stop button on the bottom of the unit.
