> 3 dayAbsolutely top notch for the price. First custom build and couldn’t have picked a better board. This thing is incredible

> 3 dayFirst off, its a floating key design. This means there is no bezel around the switches. That look was popular with gaming keyboards a few years ago. Custom keyboard enthusiasts generally frown upon it now. That out of the way, at 55 dollars this board is a good buy. It feels solid. The weight is from 3 cheap metal blocks stuck in the case, not from thick, high-density structural materials like some high-end boards But the weights dont move around, and are only visible with the case open. My board is modified. I replaced the included foam with thicker neoprene foam. I left the stabilizers stock, as they seemed to be adequately lubed. If youre doing your first build, they might not bother you. Theyre better than those on cheap, standard/gaming keyboards. But if youre looking for good sound, you might want to consider modifying or replacing the stabilizers. With Kailh Pro Purple switches, the look, sound, and feel of this board is something Im proud of. Ive gotten compliments on it several times. I youre looking to build your first budget mechanical keyboard and dont want to go with a more enthusiast entry level board, I say go for it. This is a great platform to start with. If I couldnt build another board and had to use this one indefinitely, I think Id be quite happy with it. But building custom keyboards is addictive. Ive already ordered some higher-end entry-level boards to explore the hobby further. Im going for more thock next time.

> 3 dayThis was my first dip into custom mechanical keyboards. Paired with Kailh speed bronzes (tactile switches with low travel) and its been really nice. Maybe the only complaint I have is that the bottom edge is a little sharper than Id like, but a good wrist rest can help with that. However, I will knock down one star for the abysmal software, which rarely ever works. I would recommend you try all three versions of the TKL software from their website because Ive had different versions work better on different computers with the same keyboard.

> 3 dayThis little DIY keyboard is great... if your switches are 3 pin. If theyre 5 pin then you need to snip off the two plastic bits for each individual switch and its COLOSSALLY annoying.

Greater than one weekI bought this product with the goal in mind to build my first keyboard, I already had my switches (Kailh Box Jade) and keycaps (HyperX Pudding), and I just now needed something to build on. I chose this as it comes from a company from whom I have heard before and have seen many positive reviews, and now I see why. While not super heavy on its own, the case and the plate are very rigid and sturdy and show quality construction, and once the switches and caps are on, it feels very solid. All the stabilizers on the board had no rattle at all, which was something that I have never had on a keyboard before, but feels amazing to type on. All in all this product was definitely worth the money, if I had one negative thing to say about it, it is not even hardware related. My only problem is that the software that controls the RGB and macros is not very in-depth and can be described as very rudimentary with not a whole lot of customizability. Aside from that though, this board has earned all the highest marks that I could give.

> 3 dayGreat board for the money, the ability to swap out switches is incredibly useful. The top is aluminum but the base of the board is still plastic. Stabilizers are decent but if you wanna change em make sure to grab plate mount stabs. The only real negative is it only accepts 3 pin switches so a lot of the boutique switches you’ll end up having to cut the other 2 legs off flush.

> 3 dayNot a fan of this board at all. It was my first board since getting into this hobby and I will be returning for a refund. I’ve tried three different sets of key caps while using a set of Drop true halo switches. There is a loud hollow metal echo coming from the board while typing. It doesn’t sound good at all. As I’m into the way a board sounds just as much as the feel and look of it. For $80 it’s not a terrible deal but i think i can do better. I’ve heard great thing about glorious so i may try their new pro 75% board a try. But this is a big thumbs down for me.

> 3 dayThe aluminum chassis feels and looks great, the Per-key-LED looks gorgeous, especially with pudding keycaps and transparent switch housing, and I am overall very satisfied with this product and now use it as my daily driver. However, there are two minor complaints. First, the stabilizers kind of suck. I have some quiet switches, so for the most part my typing experience has a low volume and a very satisfying sound profile, but the keys that have stabilizers kind of ruin it; theyre loud and clicky. Luckily, by design, theyre easy to remove, so modding or replacing them isnt difficult. They come pre-lubed, though, so if you dont care about the sound they still feel smooth out of the box. The second issue I personally had is that the scroll lock indicator light doesnt seem to work. In MS Excel, I can press the Scroll Lock key, and the program shows that it does indeed turn on, so the key does work and I still have that functionality, so I decided not to get a replacement since I dont use that feature at all (because, lets be honest, who here even know what Scroll Lock does?).

> 3 dayUsually, I review a product with all its pros and cons and try to feel how many stars to give it. I really wanted to like this product. I tried for a whole month but it is just not working out. The firmware on this keyboard makes it just unusable for me and I really cant get any work done with this thing. Pros: The device itself is a thing of beauty: Solid weight, CNC aluminum body, metal back plate, Everything anodized or powder coated... chamfered and chromed edges... the whole 9 yards. It feels so good to hold it in my hands. How should I describe it? Glorious. It feels glorious to hold it and install switches and keycaps on it. The sound while typing is amazing too. Just right. Another huge win is that it accepts all 3 pin cherry style mechanical switches: Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu and many more. This is the real reason why I bought this product. All Cons from here on: What happened to the firmware and software? Maybe they ran out of money and did not have the budget to make proper firmware for it. Maybe, they outsourced it. Maybe they were taking some strong substances. End of the day, the firmware, LEDs and absurd key combinations make this just unusable. I can live with the FN + IJKL for arrow keys since my Vortex Pok3r from 2014 had it. I just cannot fathom the Fn + for delete. Why not Fn + Backspace or Fn + ? Arent those more logical? I even used the software to program the right ctrl key to delete, but it is still out of the way to be of any use. The rest of the key combinations to control the LEDs are just un-intutive and I cannot memorize them. I should not have to. The LEDs are also very dim to help with working at night. Fn + W = Brightness +. Fn + S Brightness -. More like Dim, Dimmer and Dimmest. I have to squint if I need to see the keys with the lights off. I paired this with the Razer PBT keycaps by the way. They are designed for North Facing LEDs. I even tried another set of keycaps from Tecware. Same thing. Fn + seems to light up only the WASD keys and some others. Most of the time I just ended up with Fn + R to reset it to undo what I accidentally did. And what is it with that horrendous caps lock led? Why is it shining Red all the time when the caps lock is off? Why is it off when the CAPS lock is on? The first time, I rebooted my computer a few times thinking something is wrong. No. This is default. Absolutely unacceptable. It took me a whole day to accept that this was the default. Even then I found myself constantly turn on and off caps lock while typing scripts, or during IMs. When I really needed to get things done, I had to set this aside and grab my trusty rusty POK3R or even the really cheap Eyooso, which is far more usable than this. GMMK: I really need to know. What were you guys thinking and drinking or snorting or whatever? Can I get a sample of it please? It must be really good.
