I am happy with this embroidery set. The ring is plastic and can be snapped over the cloth. Each set has a fabric piece with a design already stamped on it. The color threads that are needed are provided with each set. I am looking forward to try my hand at embroidering. This set makes it easy to start.

Any butterfly fan or needlework will love this set that comes with everything you need to make 3 absolutely gorgeous butterflies. Colors are bright, materials and supplies seem well-made. The directions suffer from the standard translation issues as almost every direction you can get these days so beginners might need youtube to help out with some stiches but its a minor issue. Great for gifting as a kit or as finished products.

This kit comes with three individually packaged projects. I love the cheery colors and the cute bees. I am just getting back into embroidery, so the instructions have been helpful. The three kits came with one plastic embroidery hoop, so if you plan to display them in the hoop, youll need to spend a little more for two more hoops somewhere. Each kit comes with all the other supplies you need. The fabric is a decent quality, and the pattern is clearly printed. The floss is organized on a numbered card, and the pattern specifies the color number, stitch, and number of strands. Ive found the color photo to be an invaluable resource as I am working on the project. I frequently check it for stitch placement and angle. I have to say that Im pretty pleased with the result so far! There are a lot of French knots in this one, so Im giving my fingers a break. You may also want to invest in a thread puller because the threads of the fabric are dense and pulling the 6 strands for the French knots is hard on those fingers! There is plenty of embroidery floss for each color, so I have no fear of running out of supplies and having to match up colors at the store to get more to finish. I do wish it had come with 3 hoops and I also would have liked to know the DMC colors so I could mark the leftover floss to store it. Other than that, I am very pleased with this kit.

I was in elementary school, and I only did straight stitches I believe. I use crafts as a way to relax, and I decided to give embroidery a try again for a change of pace. This kit has been fun to work with. Well, it has been since I started using a needle threader. Hahaha. The instructions are good enough to get you going, although they are printed small. There’s a ton of short video tutorials online if you need a bit more assistance. There are a couple of things that surprised me with this kit, in a good way. First, the hoop is better than I expected for one that comes with the kit. It holds the cloth taut, and I haven’t had to tighten it up again after working on the project for a few hours. The embroidery cloth is also a lot better quality than I expected. The floss seems to be a mid-range floss. It looks a little “fuzzy” once on the cloth. It is easy to work with, and I’m not having any issues with the floss breaking while using it. The cloth is printed clearly. The design has large areas for the most part, so it does make it an easier pattern for a beginner. There aren’t too many different stitches to need to learn to do these designs, but there are enough to get a good look with different textures, which is what I like about embroidery. I’m definitely still learning and working at getting my stitches looking even. I imagine my first design is going to look a bit of a mess, and it will definitely be a “training” project. That said, I am enjoying working on these.
