My daughters iPad screen digitizer was shattered (see pic), but LCD underneath was still in tact. There are lots of youtube videos to help with this replacement. One major piece of info missing is the need to heat the glue under the screen in order to pry it open in the first place. I used my wifes hair dryer and it took a few minutes to get the glue someone loose. Luckily the screen was already shattered, so I didnt mind being reasonably rough with it when wedging the razor underneath. The screws on the connector plate are TINY and magnetized, which is a pain in the butt because the frame of the iPad will attract the screws if you drop them. The screwdriver they give you is not magnetic, so its even more annoying to get the screws in and out. Overall, the repair is not that hard, but is does take about 1hr of solid concentration if its your first time. Device worked as advertised. MAKE SURE TO OPTEST BEFORE SEALING IT BACK UP!

So it turns out the adhesive and the inside film protection are quite tricky to remove. So at first I thought they werent there at all and started a return... Eventually I gave it another try and I figured out how to remove them and everything worked out. The other tricky part is preserving the original home button in order to keep the fingerprint function but it is doable.

I had an issue installing the digitizer and they responded within 12 hours every time. Had problems with the first one, which was likely my fault. They sent a replacement right away after trying to help me troubleshoot the issue. A warranty is only as good as the company who stands behind it and this is a company who stands behind their products. As for the screen, its just like the original and I havent had any issues with it. It came with everything needed to do the installation. I already had the tools, but this is definite advantage for those who dont.

I was able to follow the instructions to replace the original cracked screen. When I had a question, the customer service department assisted me quickly with detailed instructions to resolve my issue. Another benefit is that the home button is included in the kit, and doesnt have to be removed from the old screen. When installed correctly, it performs just like the original.

I managed to make a screen repair by myself. There were all tools needed. However, I googled for the more detailed guides because of the provided one was insufficient to make job correctly done. I do recommend this kit but as I said be very aware of an additional video help needed.

I picked this up for a iPad at my work that got dropped and broken, and I wanted to repair it rather than order a whole new one. Thankfully I found this kit that conveniently includes everything you need to be able to swap out your digitizer. Removing the old screen is a bit of a hassle, but once it’s off and you clean it up a little, this thing installs super easy! Overall, this was a great buy and I am very happy with this product :)
