> 3 dayThis was my first time using a grout pen. It worked as intended. You can definitely see the difference from before. It took me a second to get the hang of using the pen, as far as shaking it, dabbing it, and then gliding it. Im an impatient person. I wore through the tip pretty easily. The seller was kind enough to send me replacement tips for no extra charge with a reminder of how to best use the product. From there, it was smooth sailing. I do wish that flow of ink was more consistent; thered be times when it would flow like an uncontrollable river and then other times where I had to dab and press to get the smallest amount out. In those moments, I thought the pen was dry...until the uncontrollable river would yet again flow. I guess im saying that its hard to know when the pen is actually dry. To grout seal my master bath floor, shower, upstairs bath floor, and laundry room, I ended up buying 4-5 of these pens. It adds up, but theres not much you can do about it. And its a good product. It did what I wanted it to do. I bought one last pen to have for touchups.

Greater than one weekDoes exactly what its advertised to do but make sure you actually have WHITE grout before using it, otherwise your results will be freakishly bright. Wish they made these in other colors, like pale grey and beige...

> 3 dayIt works, but you have to keep applying. Get several because the brush smashes down quickly.

> 3 dayThe felt tip of the marker fell apart when applying it to my grout between the tiles in my shower. Didn’t last more than 3 minutes before it started shredding. I wasn’t applying more pressure than normal as if I was using it as a writing utensil. Waste of money and effort.

Greater than one weekCant tell you if the paint is special compared to a generic paint pen (because thats essentially what you get), but it works!

> 3 dayI ordered five of these pens (3 different orders). The first pen worked great to cover the stain on the grout between my bathroom tile. It restored the tile to a beautiful white color, making the shower look clean and crisp. It was pretty easy to use... most of the time. Some of the time, I had trouble getting the colorant to flow properly, making the task grind to a halt as I attempted over and over to get it flowing. There were at least 2 out of the 5 pens I ordered that I couldnt get to work. Since I was trying to sell the house, it was a real pain to have to stop working on it and order a new pen and wait for it to ship. Had all 5 pens worked, I wouldve been able to cover 2 shower stalls worth of tile in standard sized tub/shower combination bathrooms. I gave 4 stars because I loved the pens when they were working as they should. My advice: Order one or a few extra depending on the size of your job so it can be completed in a timely manner. The other option I tried was a paint on and wipe technique using grout colorant that you pour into a little container and literally use a tiny paint brush to apply the colorant. This technique also worked, but I found it more tedious than the grout pen.

> 3 dayI was tired of looking at the greyed grout in my bathroom and I was hoping this would perk them up without the time and effort re-caulking would take, and it worked. It looks good. It was quick and easy to use and it has brightened up the walls. It feels clean and fresh again, without a painstaking full on caulk project. Now to address some of the negative comment made by others: For the tiles with cracked or missing pieces of caulk, they needed to be re-caulked. This pen was made to stick to existing caulk, it is not to be used to patch a crack or a hole, it really wont do the trick. The pen tip does get frayed but you can pull it out and turn it around and use the other side. It is not a super fine tip, so you may color outside the lines. This is not a big deal. Once it is dry, a straight razor blade will clean the edges quickly and neatly, It wont take long at all. I dont think the pen is a long term fix for high traffic areas, like the floor, the tiles that get hit constantly during a shower, or a counter top that gets cleaned multiple times a day. Those should be re-done with proper caulking. But I am very happy with the look of my refreshed bathroom and how little effort it took to get it.

07-06-2025Works but not much in the pen. Would need many to cover a large area.
