These adjustable plastic push blocks are designed to push stock through your table saw (and routers- which I don’t have) during rip cuts. They are well regarded in the woodworking profession. You can rip very thin cuts on thin stock using these blocks, but your table saw must have a zero clearance insert. The blocks reduce the possibility of fingers getting too close to the blade and kick-back. You position the blocks on top of the stock and push. The blade goes through an adjustable tunnel under the push block keeping your hands away from the blade all while maintaining pressure against the rip fence to avoid kick-back. The blocks require a dry-run, with the saw off, to make sure there is clearance for the blade. The blocks grip very well, (eventually the gripping surface can get filled with sawdust and lose grip, but there is a procedure to clean them and return them to full grip) having a special high friction material on them. This kit includes two blocks. Two blocks are almost a necessity for ripping long stock. With two blocks, you push/hold using one block and, when you push too far, you remove the first one and place it behind the second for continuous motion (there are demo videos on the website and Youtube). It takes some practice. There are lots of accessory attachments included for additional support for different sized stock. I highly recommend these.

Micro Jig GRR-RIPPERs are the best push blocks money can buy. Yes, theyre more expensive than cheap push blocks but are your fingers worth a few extra bucks? Thats not a joke, table saws are one of the most (potentially) dangerous tools in woodworking, and personally, I want to have the safest workflow I can possibly have. I now have 3 GRR-RIPPERs and set two them up for different cuts I commonly make (so I dont have to keep adjusting them) and have the third that I can customize to make other cuts as needed. If youre a woodworker and havent tried GRR-RIPPERs yet, you owe it to yourself to give them a shot. Theres a reason so many successful woodworkers use them. They make using the table saw much safer.

I tend to use the table saw less than most woodworkers. But when I do, I want to do everything in the safest way possible. For many years, I experimented with various commercial and home-made jigs. But none of those every felt like they really totally changed the way I use the table saw. Then I gave the GRR-RIPPER a try, and I can honestly say they are a terrific jig to have whenever I go to the table saw. They have changed the way I view my table saw! Details below... PARTS AND QUALITY The parts are composed of very solid plastic that gives a feeling of something strong and secure in your hand. The manufacturer really went all out in making these carefully and precisely. Every piece fits together smoothly. The parts are machined and finished with precision. In addition to the jig itself, the instructions that come with this are terrific -- a real example of a good manual. Its thorough, vivid, with clear and beautiful (yes, beautiful) photography. The manufacturer clearly decided that this is an important part of a product like this. Good for them! SAFETY Heres where its at, right? Following the very clear instructions, this jig allows you to make all manner of cuts while keeping your hands far away from the blade. In addition, it also prevents kickback by keeping the wood at a proper distance and consistent angle to the fence at all times. There are numerous features and adjustments to this jig that allow you to make all kinds of cuts, even down to very narrow ones that you would never usually want to try on a table saw. All of the various ways to use this are fully illustrated in the manual. I have not used it yet for every style of cut, but everything I have done I feel better doing it now. And I look forward to exploring other cuts in the months and years ahead. GETTING ACCUSTOMED TO THE JIG When I first used this, it felt like I was holding a lot of extra material during a cut. I had to get used to having less visibility when cutting than I usually did just pushing the wood through the saw. It took me a few times to get used to it. But now, I feel naked making a cut without it! Another thing to adjust to is the cost. This is, for sure, an expensive jig. CONCLUSION This jig was designed for real woodworkers, for real woodworking situations. Everything, from the quality of the parts to the beauty of the instruction manual, is done with precision and detail that gives you confidence when you use it. I highly recommend this product!

These are great tools. After purchasing/using 1 for months, I decided to purchase this set of 2. Granted this set up comes with all the additional pieces the single tool doesn’t, still great tools. Used heavily for building cabinets, doors, French cleats, stiles & rails, shelving.

What’s not to like? They do exactly what I bought them for...to give me complete control of the piece I’m cutting and keep my fingers in tact. Great product so far.

No need for a long review, since there are plenty of Youtube videos demoing functionality. I feel a lot more confident using a table saw and I am sure it saved me a few fingers at this point. Expensive? yes! how much would you pay for a finger or a doctors visit?

A trip to the ER and losing fingers are more expensive than this set. If you work with a table saw, and push through thin strips of wood, you know how dangerous it can get. You dont get many second chances when it comes to your limbs. This box is a set of 2 and has everything you need to make woodworking a safer hobby. I can push through hardwood flooring safely, and even rip them down to whatever width I need without much fear of kickback and cutting myself. It gives me more confidence when using the table saw. It took a bit of a learning curve, but a few practice cuts on scrap wood and test cuts, and you will get the hang of it. These are high quality and durable feeling jigs. I would definitely recommend getting this set even if you dont think you need 2 of everything.

Very versatile tool. Definitely slowed me down over all while I am getting used to adjusting all of its features, but it’s solid and much safer than anything else on the market. I had a cracked piece on one of the handle mounts. Called Microjig and they sent a replacement part out at no charge. Great customer service.

I am a woodworker and I love my table saw. No other tool is as versatile or as easy to use. A little maintenance and it can sit up and do tricks for you. A table saw can rip, cross cut. You can use a variety of blade included dado blades. You can cut at an angle to obtain perfect ovals in your wood. You can use it to slice wood a thousand ways, segmenting and layering. In short, a wood shop is only as good as its table saw. But for all the years Ive used a table saw, I am still nervous when using it. I know it will do its best to cut through everything, including me and I am the common element to every project that I work on. Ive never been cut on a table saw (I was cut on a jointer but thats a different tool.) A wood shop instructor will tell you the way to avoid cuts is to use with a push stick or table feed. I find the Grr-Ripper does the job of all these accessories and more and with a little planning, it works safely, effectively and will serve a variety of functions. The Grr-Ripper (have to get used to that name) holds down a piece to the table, while providing leverage to move the piece through and past the blade. It will prevent kickback and by aligning its channel with the blade, it will make sure that whatever the cut, it can accomodate it. my only problem with it (Ive owned a couple at this point) is that I needed two and I only ever owned one (thanks, friends, for borrowing them). This kit comes with two and I cannot recommend it strongly enough. Whatever the level of your saw, from a simple one blade to a versatile serious saw, the Grr-Ripper will make your cuts cleaner, safer and better. I give the Grr-Ripper my highest possible recommend, made only better by what is included with this specific kit. If you are considering, please proceed, I believe you will be both well pleased and well served by it.
