> 3 dayI tend to use the table saw less than most woodworkers. But when I do, I want to do everything in the safest way possible. For many years, I experimented with various commercial and home-made jigs. But none of those every felt like they really totally changed the way I use the table saw. Then I gave the GRR-RIPPER a try, and I can honestly say they are a terrific jig to have whenever I go to the table saw. They have changed the way I view my table saw! Details below... PARTS AND QUALITY The parts are composed of very solid plastic that gives a feeling of something strong and secure in your hand. The manufacturer really went all out in making these carefully and precisely. Every piece fits together smoothly. The parts are machined and finished with precision. In addition to the jig itself, the instructions that come with this are terrific -- a real example of a good manual. Its thorough, vivid, with clear and beautiful (yes, beautiful) photography. The manufacturer clearly decided that this is an important part of a product like this. Good for them! SAFETY Heres where its at, right? Following the very clear instructions, this jig allows you to make all manner of cuts while keeping your hands far away from the blade. In addition, it also prevents kickback by keeping the wood at a proper distance and consistent angle to the fence at all times. There are numerous features and adjustments to this jig that allow you to make all kinds of cuts, even down to very narrow ones that you would never usually want to try on a table saw. All of the various ways to use this are fully illustrated in the manual. I have not used it yet for every style of cut, but everything I have done I feel better doing it now. And I look forward to exploring other cuts in the months and years ahead. GETTING ACCUSTOMED TO THE JIG When I first used this, it felt like I was holding a lot of extra material during a cut. I had to get used to having less visibility when cutting than I usually did just pushing the wood through the saw. It took me a few times to get used to it. But now, I feel naked making a cut without it! Another thing to adjust to is the cost. This is, for sure, an expensive jig. CONCLUSION This jig was designed for real woodworkers, for real woodworking situations. Everything, from the quality of the parts to the beauty of the instruction manual, is done with precision and detail that gives you confidence when you use it. I highly recommend this product!

> 3 dayThis kit is on the very high end of price, but short of buying a Sawstop tablesaw, this is the single best piece of safety equipment you can buy. More solid and confidence inducing than push blocks, and less finicky than feather boards. All of the components feel like quality phenolic; its a heavier, more durable plastic. Theres a box full of components, and I found the video on the companys website to be handy, though the written instructions were enough. The varied adjustments mean that you can dial in the way youre grabbing the workpiece with these, even with thin or tiny pieces. The resulting grip actually gives me smoother cuts and less burns, (while keeping my fingers attached to the rest of me).

> 3 dayThese are simply the best push blocks around. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Having the ability to change the angle of the handle is great for added safety. The first time you make a cut with these you’ll feel the improvement immediately. Safer cuts are much much easier with these.

> 3 dayThese adjustable plastic push blocks are designed to push stock through your table saw (and routers- which I don’t have) during rip cuts. They are well regarded in the woodworking profession. You can rip very thin cuts on thin stock using these blocks, but your table saw must have a zero clearance insert. The blocks reduce the possibility of fingers getting too close to the blade and kick-back. You position the blocks on top of the stock and push. The blade goes through an adjustable tunnel under the push block keeping your hands away from the blade all while maintaining pressure against the rip fence to avoid kick-back. The blocks require a dry-run, with the saw off, to make sure there is clearance for the blade. The blocks grip very well, (eventually the gripping surface can get filled with sawdust and lose grip, but there is a procedure to clean them and return them to full grip) having a special high friction material on them. This kit includes two blocks. Two blocks are almost a necessity for ripping long stock. With two blocks, you push/hold using one block and, when you push too far, you remove the first one and place it behind the second for continuous motion (there are demo videos on the website and Youtube). It takes some practice. There are lots of accessory attachments included for additional support for different sized stock. I highly recommend these.

> 3 dayIt takes a minute to figure out how to use these. A bit like learning to ride a bike. Spend the time and you very quickly learn that they are spectacular! Adjustability = stability, they definitely got that right. They are REALLY good at controlling the workpiece. They can be adapted to work for a wide variety of cuts on a wide variety of thicknesses. Superbly engineered product for serious woodworking. These are indispensable in my shop!

> 3 dayI love that my husband has these for improved safety when using his table saw. It really seems helpful in cutting down kickbacks and protecting his hands. Seems to offer increased control of a wide variety of woods and other materials. Well worth the cost to prevent saw related injuries!!!!

> 3 dayGreat, great product. As a new woodworker, I’m a bit tentative and anxious. Using these blocks makes me feel better about the whole thing. And they definitely give better control. I wish they were a little cheaper but since I can’t really put a value on my fingers, I can’t complain too much.

22-04-2025The concept of this product is quite interesting and in practice can prevent injuries. That being said, it will take some practice for this to be the push “stick” that I reach for first. This is well made hefty. This double dose will also take up valuable shop space which is rarely available. The assembly is straight forward but tedious. And, not all of the parts included in the box need to be added to the base unit until you actually need them. Determining which accessory to use when and when two of these are needed means more practice time. Use of this requires planning, set-up and paying close attention. Grabbing the handle and just pushing things through means making sure there is clearance on the sides for the outrigger pieces. Unless you are the type that has to have everything, this is pretty costly for the average home shop. Study the information and compare it with how much and how often you make cuts that would be made easier/safer by having not only one but also two of these.
