> 3 dayI bought this wire to use for a project that requires soldering. A ton of flux is needed and if I have to remove the wire I have to replace it due to some black oxidation that no amount of flux will remove. Youve pretty much got one shot to make a good solder connection otherwise you have to either cut and strip the wire or replace it. The insulation also melts more quickly and at a lower temp than other wires Ive worked with. Will not buy again and do not recommend for anyone that will be doing a lot of soldering with the wire

> 3 dayI have soldered this into proto-boards and used it for several amps of power, even used it as speaker wire. It does the job! I never had any problems soldering it nor has it broken down on me in the year Ive used it indoors. It is just normal copper-clad-aluminum wire. Maybe not super fancy but totally useable as wire. I have used the 18ga and the 12ga wire.
