Ultimately, my eight year old son loves it but the mouth part is pretty hard to operate. The plastic is hard and its not very comfortable compared to some other puppets. This is only something I noticed when I tried to use it and I didnt mention anything to my son about it because he likes it no matter what and it doesnt seem to be too much of an issue for him other than he has to switch puppets when putting on a puppet show because his hand gets tired.

I bought this and another hand puppet with the lofty hopes of being able to entertain my 1-year-old grandson with them, at some point. As they arrived, they look and feel like you would expect, accurately depicting the character. The problem lies inside the mouth of the puppets. For whatever reason, they are made with a huge amount of resistance in the mouth (where your hand goes, to make it talk). Im a grown man, and had a huge amount of difficulty getting the mouth to look open. There was a HUGE amount of resistance here. I would think that if something were designed to be used as a puppet, they would test it a bit to make sure you could open and close the mouth easily. If this were a stuffed animal, it would be almost a full score. It looks like the character. However, as a puppet, I was very disappointed.

My 5mos old daughter loves when we sing Elmos Song to her,so I figured itd be even better with an Elmo hand puppet. Sure enough she loves to see Elmo peeking over the edge of her crib, surprising her with her favorite song. This puppet is bright, soft and durable, and has great floppy arms ideal for baby hands to grab. Its very cute. My only complaint is that the puppets neck/head is a bit small for an adults hand (I dont even have large hands, nor does my wife), so unfortunately, its not that comfortable to wear. Thats really my only complaint. Id buy it again, but just wish it were a bit more spacious.

It’s a lot of fun to play with this. My kids each have one and love it.

My daughter loves Elmo, so I used this puppet to give her a show. At first she was scared, but she opened up and really enjoys it. This Elmo puppet is good for the price, just wish the grip for the mouth was a bit better.

All of people probably write bad reviews saying that he ate all their cookies. Lies lies lies. Except me, I’m not lying. He ate all my cookies.

The mouth is made with hard plastic instead of cardboard like most puppets so the mouth is a little hard to move for me.. so my 8 year old has a hard time as well... Other than that its made very well and seems like its gonna hold up through a lot of play..

Let me tell you a little about this toy. As far as a resemblance to the actual cookie monster I believe its spot on. The functionality of the puppet is exactely as expected. You can use the hands and the mouth if your skilled enough but the functionality isnt what impressed me. I bought this puppet because a review said that it was quite durable. Well I have used the puppet to play aggressively with my puppy and he has yet to rip it, tear it, or really damage it at all. If you have a toddler or small child you are buying this for then expect for the puppet to remain perfectly in tact throughout your childs entire life. I took it outside and stompped on it just to prove a point to my puppy that fun cant last forever. To my avail no known damage. I have to say overall Im very pleased with my purchase and am thinking about buying all the sesame street characters and putting on a play in my backyard for my neighbors who will never show up. 10/10 would buy again. But ill never have to because this puppet will last forever. Long after humans have left this earth my cookie monster puppet will roam the lands bringing joy to every puppy/and or child he encounters. Update: My puppy has completely destroyed this puppet. Disregard everything I said
