> 3 dayBeautiful pack. Its a little hard to tell from the images so let me break down exactly whats in here, geared toward beginners like me who are wondering what each tip is for. Im an entry-level soldering nut working on pre-printed circuit boards and basic electronics like noisemakers, Arduino / Rasberry Pi, etc. I also dabble in some electrical work. T18-D08 - 0.8 x 14.5mm: Perfect for working with small pins under magnification. If youve ever had an issue with a tip being too large so you cant work it between the post and hole without some juggling, this is what youve been looking for. T18-D12 - 1.2 x 14.5mm: This is the tip I wanted most, its small enough to do delicate pins but large enough to deal with most components involved in beginner electronics. For attaching resistors and chips to boards, this tip is better than the one that came with my iron. The slightly flat tip makes for better contact, but tip is so close to a point that it works on the smallest components without too much fear. This tip is a touch too small for larger components such as potentiometer legs, but for my purposes Id rather have a tip that works well with the smallest holes and take some extra time on the few big ones. T18-D24 - 2.4 x 14.5mm and T18-D32 - 3.2 x 14.5mm: Medium-size tips that would be great for general electric work with medium-gauge wires, or attaching larger modules to circuit boards. These are too large for most of my general electronics work, but there are some components (such as tabs and items that act as heat sinks) that could require a larger piece. These will be nice if and when I need them. T18-S3 - 5.2 x 18mm: What a massive beast. This is for large parts with high thermal capacity (heat sinks) or areas where you might be using solder for some spot welding. Oversized for most applications, Id guess this thing is for pretty heavy gauge wires or applications that need to go through a lot of lead, such as large glass soldering projects. I probably wont even need this tip, but its better to have it than to end up needing it and not having it. Overall:
