Hakko USA FX888D29BY/P ESD-Safe Digital Soldering Station w/ FX8801 Soldering Iron and T18D16 Tip (Gold)

I didnt know what I was missing. My old station was hardly a station, no temperature sensing and kinda hot. This thing heats up fast and recovers well while keeping a low temp. But I have not even adjusted it for SMD stuff yet, so well see.

I bought this knowing of Hakko quality. It far exceeds my needs. Their Japan built soldering stations are for heavy industrial usage for 10+ years for $500+. This ones great for light to moderate use. The tips and soldering handle are cheaper too.

I got this for my husband for Christmas. He said it is awesome!! He loves it!! The tip doesn’t corrode. The wire to the soldering iron doesn’t melt, he tested it, since it says in the description that it won’t. The heat output is very nice, you can melt huge blobs of solder with it. Very very nice soldering station.

This is my second one as I have been disappointed in both. Dont heat compared to my X-Tronic one. I will not purchase another.

Man is this nice. Gets right to temp. No fighting the solder. Plenty of tip options.

Used a couple of time now and is really great to have a soldering iron that holds its temperature and is a breeze to use.

This Hakko replaced a Weller that served me well for several years. So far good performance from the Hakko. Heats up fast also.

This worked perfectly for the flux capacitor!

Excellent soldering iron. The previous version could not survive having a large weight being dropped on it.

Excellent soldering station. Gets hot in seconds. Well constructed and built to last for years to come.
