I left my flat iron on 410 for 14 hours accidentally, so this probably saved my house and desk from burning!

Not sure I would feel comfortable unplugging, putting it in the silicone sleeve and putting it directly into my luggage. It still felt very hot to touch in the sleeve. I am happy with the main reason that I purchased it which was to protect my counter while I was doing my hair.

This Silicone mat case, works great keeps my dresser safe from heat damage, and its great for travel I can put it away warm and not worry about it . And i like that it holds the cord also.

When I put my hot hair straightener into this when Im done using it I have peace of mind itll cool without touching anything. Always turn it off first!

i haven’t tested the heat resistance feature yet as not sure I’m keeping it -But it’s much smaller than anticipated and feels flimsy like it will come apart at the seams after first use . I don’t know how it will hold my flat iron with the cord and not rip or poke a hole from the cord - it doesn’t close either and is more like a very very slim sleeve that i feel is now over stuffed with just my flatiron in it, and could barley fit the cord inside too. Perhaps if i decide to keep it will prove to be more durable than expected ? I just can’t see how this would travel well. As per the heat resistance feature, most counter tops are heat resistant at this point so wasn’t a selling point for me. Just wanted a nice storage case for flatiron that was padded for protection with room for cord storage . as the hair iron i recently purchased was missing the storage case. I do love the hot pink color , but otherwise was very underwhelmed with this purchase.

Great for travel, lightweight and resists heat so I can pack my suitcase right away after ironing my hair.

I purchased two of these for my travel and for home base. Its better than I expected... I have a triple barrel wave maker... it fits perfectly in this sleeve and it REALLY needs a hot pad AND a sleeve - this is both! The sleeve is WIDE. If youre using a regular single barrel... you could fit two or three in it... not that I would do that... but if you only put one single barrel iron in there, it will swim in there! And of course, any flat iron will fit. Honestly, this is one of my favorite things Ive purchased in a while. Its great when something you order to do something and it actually does. The two I purchased are hot pink. The outside is ridged and because it a silicone material, its insulating and protects surfaces. My triple barrel wave maker fits completely in it... with nothing hanging out. I am going to say if you have one a curling iron, flat iron or major wave maker (triple barrel) and you travel - you need one or two of these. Reasonably priced in my opinion as well. Just fyi... I have tried many creative thing... hot pads and a rubber band to hold it together.. A thick towel... (they actually burn if you leave your iron on it - yikes) These are the answer. Having said all that... I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.
