i haven’t tested the heat resistance feature yet as not sure I’m keeping it -But it’s much smaller than anticipated and feels flimsy like it will come apart at the seams after first use . I don’t know how it will hold my flat iron with the cord and not rip or poke a hole from the cord - it doesn’t close either and is more like a very very slim sleeve that i feel is now over stuffed with just my flatiron in it, and could barley fit the cord inside too. Perhaps if i decide to keep it will prove to be more durable than expected ? I just can’t see how this would travel well. As per the heat resistance feature, most counter tops are heat resistant at this point so wasn’t a selling point for me. Just wanted a nice storage case for flatiron that was padded for protection with room for cord storage . as the hair iron i recently purchased was missing the storage case. I do love the hot pink color , but otherwise was very underwhelmed with this purchase.

I accidentally left my hot iron on for the entire overnight and found out the next morning!! Thank God it was resting on the pad!!! Absolutely nothing happened to either my hot iron or the pad!

As you can see from the pictures, the one they sent me doesnt have the handle, so I cant hang it up like I want to. The product is good. It looks sturdy and durable and fits my flat iron, but I wanted the handle for convenience so Im probably going to return it.

I left my flat iron on 410 for 14 hours accidentally, so this probably saved my house and desk from burning!

Love this product! I cant believe I didnt see this product sooner. I have a 36-inch vanity in my 3/4 condo master bathroom. I was always trying to balance my flat iron or waver on the edge of the sink, or where it would not burn anything, and it was always slipping this way and that way. Now it sits on this perfectly sized mat that is intended to keep hot tools from burning anything. It stays put where you place it. If you own a hot hair tool you need this Silicone Mat pouch.
