Greater than one weekI purchased two of these for my travel and for home base. Its better than I expected... I have a triple barrel wave maker... it fits perfectly in this sleeve and it REALLY needs a hot pad AND a sleeve - this is both! The sleeve is WIDE. If youre using a regular single barrel... you could fit two or three in it... not that I would do that... but if you only put one single barrel iron in there, it will swim in there! And of course, any flat iron will fit. Honestly, this is one of my favorite things Ive purchased in a while. Its great when something you order to do something and it actually does. The two I purchased are hot pink. The outside is ridged and because it a silicone material, its insulating and protects surfaces. My triple barrel wave maker fits completely in it... with nothing hanging out. I am going to say if you have one a curling iron, flat iron or major wave maker (triple barrel) and you travel - you need one or two of these. Reasonably priced in my opinion as well. Just fyi... I have tried many creative thing... hot pads and a rubber band to hold it together.. A thick towel... (they actually burn if you leave your iron on it - yikes) These are the answer. Having said all that... I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.

> 3 dayNot sure I would feel comfortable unplugging, putting it in the silicone sleeve and putting it directly into my luggage. It still felt very hot to touch in the sleeve. I am happy with the main reason that I purchased it which was to protect my counter while I was doing my hair.

Greater than one weekBought this to store a flat iron. Its very basic (thin, no pockets) but description is accurate and works well for what I need.
Purposes: More and more hair styling is accompany with heated tools, so there are many troubles when you are using them.
Counter Protector: When you are using the heated tools, the heated hair styling tools are very easy to burn the counter, sometimes it causes irreversible damage, then the counter protector, curling iron pouch, is coming out to protect your counter from any surface ruins of the hot styling tools.
Great Heat Resistant: Special design on wave surface, 450~500°F withstand (most curling irons heat are under this temperature) . Hot pad for curling iron is great to protect you from heat dangerous.
