Hikelite 18 Hiking Backpack , Aloe Green

Works alright for day hikes, for sure, but the shoulder strap padding is too thin (first time using, at the end of a strenuous five-hour hike at altitude carrying a full pack (mostly water and snacks, and extra layers), my shoulders hurt and the skin over my collar bones were bruised - never in my life have I experienced that with a backpack before) and the pack itself makes your shirts pill badly around the lower back. I ruined a bunch of t-shirts on a recent trip. Im actually worried about carrying this pack while wearing a more expensive jacket or rain shell. It might damage those items too. Seems theres no way around that.

This is the perfect little pack for a day hike. Inside the pack there is a hook and a pouch to hold a 2 liter

Very happy! Makes a great daypack. Keeps the pack off the back so lots of circulation, which is especially good in the hot Southern California heat.

I love this backpack, the color is great, its sturdy, evenly distributes the weight and sits perfectly. I only give it 4 stars because I wish it was just slightly larger and had an extra zip pocket for storage.

My husband and I are empty nesters now and just got into hiking about two years ago. He loves this pack for day trips. Great quality. Lots of room for hydration pack and more. Great bag for day trips! I wish it had more compartments, but I like pockets. Super light weight and able to carry full size blender sport bottles on each side, with plenty of space for snacks, jackets, and other odds and ends one might need. It does have a taper designed when full, with a more bulbous shape on the bottom. Do wish it was consistent from top to bottom. But no biggie. Sits comfortable on me at 5 feet tall. So far it has handled a dozen day hikes without issue. I would buy again!

I am a regular day hiker doing 8-14miles. I bought this backpack for its design that allows very good ventilation on the back. No more sticky-sweaty backpack :) Easily carry a gallon of water, still has just enough space for a jacket and lunchbox. The metal frame keeps it well balanced. It features all the adjustments that one can desire, chest, shoulder and hip straps. All very well built. Chest strap has a built in whistle. It comes with a rain cover that stealthily goes into a zip pocket at the base, which also doubles up as a cushion.
