Hippo Sak Handle Trash Bag, with Power Strip, 13 Gallon Tall Kitchen, 90 Count
-
Eddie Weeks
> 3 dayTheyre trash bags. Theyre for tall kitchen trash cans. Most importantly, THEY HAVE TWO HANDLE TIES. Not those stupid four little tabs, but two (2) handle ties that can actually be tied together. Theyre the kind of trash bags that have disappeared from the local grocery store (your results may vary, but I havent seen this kind in the store in months). The bags are strong and sturdy, fit perfectly in the trash can, and are easy to tie. Worth every penny.

Greater than one week***updated review after months of using to add: these bags really are the best. Ive converted many friends that cant get over how they never rip, fit & easily come out of garbage cans, etc. buy these bags, you wont be sorry!*** Ok, so it seems kinda strange to be writing a review on garbage bags. But when you think about it....how many times do garbage bags annoy you? And every one of those times its a messy, gross problem to deal with. The bag rips, leaks or gets stuck in the dang can and it takes 2 people to free it, ripping it in the process. Arg!! These bags though...they will change your life. Your garbage process will now seamless, ripless & without smelly, sticky leaks. The bags go in easy. The handles are snug on the top, enough so that the bag never falls in, yet its not hard to get on. When full you can easily slide the bag up without any issues. A novel idea, make the bags the appropriate size for the cans! No more bags getting stuck, needing two or five people to wrestle the dang bag out. And because they are the right size, you dont over fill them, making them easy to pick up! The handle ties are AWESOME. This was the one thing I was worried Id hate but I now prefer it big time. Im almost through my first large box of these bags. I havent had a single leak, rip, defective bag or issue. Not one. Every bag has been seamless, issue-free perfection. I will only buy these bags as long as I live. They rock!

> 3 dayI have bought these for years, then i tried the more environmentally sound one, which was grey. That one was ok, but thin and see-through. So, I switched back to this one and found it is much thinner than before - which is good for the oceans etc - as my goal was to not use non-biodegradable plastic, but i needed a strong bag and came back to buy. It is not as it used to be - you can see through this one - and I liked the opaqueness of the product as it used to be. So, now that it is see-through and thinner, I no longer consider it the best garbage out there. NOW, if this was compostable/biodegradable, I would stick with it - but it is not, so Ill keep looking as this product is no longer the same. I used to use it for other reasons - in a rush, bag up clothes to give away, put extra bedding we didnt need - if in a pinch, but now that is see-through and thinner it does not serve that purpose as well. Still looking for a strong compostable / biodegradable non-see-through bag. This is still a good bag - but I no longer want to contribute plastic to the oceans and so thick or thin, it is not ideal.

Greater than one weekI used to buy these when I lived in Illinois. Woodmans in Carpentersville carried them. In rural Ohio where I live now, there isnt a huge selection of pretty much anything, let alone garbage bags. When I became desperate for a trash bag that was made of a thicker plastic (or whatever its made of) that wouldnt break, no scent (Im allergic to a lot of fragrances), and one that fit the can without having to struggle to stretch it to fit, I looked up Hippo Saks here on Amazon. And low and behold there they were! These bags are well constructed. Ive never had one bust open or leak. I love the way they unroll. The WallyWorld (Walmart) imitations here pull off the roll at the handles - handle to handle. The bags are also paper thin. The Hippo Saks pull off bottom to handle so there is always a smooth line to break from. And because of that, the handles dont get mangled or ruined. The knock-offs here, often have the handles uncut properly which often times renders them useless. I have never had a Hippo Sak fail me off the roll nor after use in the trash can. You can also fill them to the limit and never have to worry about them breaking on the way out the door. Other lesser quality bags have done this to me repeatedly. I mean seriously, what good is a 13 gallon trash bag if you cant fill it with 13 gallons of trash? I definitely get my moneys worth with these. And my garbage men like them too because they dont break open on them either. If you are tired of lame trash bags that promise you the landfill but cant deliver, try these. You will not be disappointed. The reason Im back here and posted this review is because Im reordering so I dont run out! No more wanna-be trash bags for me! Thank you Hippo Sak!

> 3 dayThese are very sturdy. I never have holes or torn handles no matter how much I stuff in there, and I stuff them well! Better than name brand bags, and cheaper too.

Greater than one weekThis product is better than the name brand product. Name brand would puncture and tear easily from a cardboard box corner (I mean like frozen dinner box). This bag is really sturdy. Ive got this one on my subscription list.
