I mainly got this to deal with some old pet stains from my pup who as she turned senior had little accidents here and there - sometimes in places I didn’t notice at first because I have anosmia and couldn’t smell my way to the spot. I was dubious that an inexpensive carpet cleaner would work but thought I’d give it a try. Well let me tell you, this thing is a little miracle worker. A few runs over the area dispensing the cleaner that comes with it (specifically for pet stains), then a few runs over to dry it - and I could not believe how good it looked. Now I want to do the whole carpet with it (granted that will be a job because the water dispenser is not that big - so a lot of refilling with warm water and cleaning stuff). I’ve had carpet cleaning machines before, and this one beats them all. It’s pretty light so not hard to carry up and down the stairs. Cleaning it seemed very straightforward and they include a little tool to help clean the brush area. I recommend cleaning the machine well after a task - I think it would get gunked up otherwise. Also - I did notice some small tufts of carpet come up. It didn’t change the look of the rug, but I would take note of it depending on the quality of the carpeting - over time it might cause issues. I will report back if that is the case.

I own an elderly dog who now has bladder control issues I was looking for a carpet cleaner that could effectively clean up her spots. When I tell you this hoover carpet cleaner is the best carpet cleaner ive ever used I am not kidding. Not only is it incredibly strong super effective and very lightweight its affordable it costs under $100 when I purchased it it was 89. It did such a good job cleaning spots I actually have cleaned all of my carpets in my house with it and they have never looked this good. I have had carpet cleaning services come to the house I have rented rug doctors none of them lifted the dirt and grime out of my carpet like this small mighty machine. It does have a small water reservoir because its intended for spot cleaning but it can be used on all of your carpet it just takes more trips to the sink. I have never purchased a product that I like better from hoover this thing is incredible I highly highly recommend it.

I’ve been paying for professional carpet cleaning or supermarket machine rentals for years and so tired of spending the money! I read the reviews on this Hoover and decided to try it. It’s fantastic, so easy, and I have pets so I needed something that was quick. The tank is small but because it’s so easy to fill it doesn’t matter. Love it!!!

Overall, Im pleased with this Hoover carpet cleaner. We have several large area rugs in our newly built home that havent been cleaned (only vacuumed) since we moved in 18 months ago. We were thinking about getting a professional rug cleaner to do the job, but saw that this carpet cleaner would cost less than a one time cleaning by a professional. The reviews were good so we decided to give it a try. Unpacking and assembly was very easy. No tools required. The quick use guide was good if youre the kind of person that doesnt want to take the time to read the entire manual. The manual itself goes into just the right amount of detail to tell you everything you need to know. The machine is very easy to use. Just put warm water into the tank up to the first fill line. Then add the cleaning formula up to the second fill line. The two fill lines take the guess work out of how much formula to use (as long as youre using the correct formula for the machine). Dumping the waste water is easy... just squeeze the handle on top, lift out, dump and reinsert. The machine is very light and easy to handle. Its a very easy machine to use. As far as cleaning, the machine does a pretty good job cleaning my rugs. The waste water was a very dark brown, so it definitely sucked a lot of dirt out. Visually, it was apparent that our rugs looked much cleaner after cleaning them with this machine. So, I am pleased with the result. Especially considering that this machine only cost us $99.00. There were a few spots on our rugs the machine did not get up. So I used my Bissell spot cleaning machine to get those out. Some dirty spots just require a little more muscle and time. One cleaning note - the warm water, formula and scrubbing this machine does will definitely loosen the dirt. But if you rush going back over the carpet to suck out the dirty water, the results wont be as good. I found that a couple of extra passes over the carpet with just the suction on to suck out all the dirty water possible will bring better results. Does this machine clean as well as a professional cleaning? Probably not, especially on deep rugs and carpet. But I dont believe there is much difference between the effectiveness of the two options. If youre willing to purchase this thing and do the work yourself as opposed to using a professional, youll save a lot of money. The question now is, how long will this machine last? Some of the reviews indicate it could die within a year or two. I guess it depends partly on how often you use it. But if I get two years out it, it will be worth the purchase. What would I change about this little rug cleaner? First of all, I wish the electrical cord was longer, but its not a big deal. Second, I wish the two tanks held more water. You have to empty the waste tank and refill the clean water tank often. To clean 5 large rugs and 4 smaller rugs in my home, I refilled the clean water tank a dozen times. I dumped the waster water tank 7 times. Its a bit aggravating to have to refill and dump so many items. But I guess its a trade off to make the machine lighter and easier to handle. I only found one problem with the machine. The machine is designed to stop vacuuming whenever the waste tank is full. There is a full tank line on the waste container. The problem is that the machine stops vacuuming before the full tank line is reached. It took me a little time to figure out what the heck was going on when it stopped vacuuming. Once you know it will stop vacuuming a little short of the line, its not a big deal. But I want to mention it in case those reading this review experienced the same problem. So, I do recommend this machine. Its does a nice job cleaning carpet and rugs. It will save you money if youre willing to do the work yourself.

Amazon delivery is amazing. They are prompt and careful with the products and always on time. This Hoover carpet cleaner has a lot of power was easy to put together. It was amazing. It does a great job. I had to take care of two puppies, who got anxious, and the Hoover was able to get the spots out and the smell out. The price was reasonable. The product is exactly what they said it would be. We were not disappointed at all and Amazon has excellent service. It’s at the point that we only use Amazon and we will stick with Hoover.

Its a really good machine for the money. The motor was more powerful then I expected after I read other reviews. The water reservoirs are small, but I expect that for the price. I have had it now 6 months and it has cleaned some really nasty carpets. I am very impressed. Only thing I wish it had was able to clear furniture as well. I received more than expected so I cant complain.

Have had this cleaner since October 2021 and overall its a great cleaner for the price point. It is not a professional grade unit, but it does a very good job for home use. There are three drawbacks I can list: • SMALL TANKS - First, both the cleaning solution tank and the dirty water tank are small. So if you have a lot of square footage to clean, you will need to stop frequently to empty the dirty water and refill your cleaning solution. • INADEQUATE SUCTION - Secondly, the suction power is less than with a commercial cleaner so (a) youll need to go over each area slowly and multiple times, and (b) youll probably need to go over each area again with water only in order to make sure theres no residue left behind. • CHEAPLY MADE PARTS - And lastly, at least in my case, the cleaning solution tank was very cheaply made and after only about half a dozen uses it broke. Just before writing this review I was all ready to clean my carpets when I discovered the cap for the tank had deteriorated since the last use, so I had to go to Hoovers website to order a replacement part. After only half a dozen uses, thats disappointing. I have messaged Hoover after ordering the replacement part. Hopefully they will refund the purchase price to make it right. If so I will update this review.

I finally got it out of the box and put it to work. I am extremely happy with the results. It was so easy to assemble, fill the tank and get started. The area I cleaned had a lot of small stains, mostly food and grease. They all disappeared like magic! I went over the area slowly a few times, emptied the tank, filled the tank with clean warm water and rinsed. Then I used the suction and dry setting (just releasing the push button) a few times, slowly, so I could dry it as much as possible. Now Im ready to tackle the next area. The reviews that state it doesnt dry are disappointing. It is only supposed to pull out as much liquid as possible, then you leave it to dry. When you have a commercial carpet cleaner clean your carpets, they want you to stay off of it for hours while it dries. Here is what Hoover says about the Heatforce feature: The HeatForce™ feature blows air underneath the unit to improve carpet drying times. The temperature of the air may vary due to a variety of factors, but the movement of air underneath the cleaner will assist with drying your carpets. (So it really is just helping with air circulation -- probably the level of heat produced by the motor. It is not a hair dryer). This is not meant to be a heavy-duty, room carpet cleaner. It is for pet messes, high traffic areas, and small spaces. In other words, a spot cleaner. The full tank of water with the recommended amount of shampoo cleaned an area about of about 50 square feet before the tank was empty. If you want to clean your entire room carpet, get a product intended for that purpose. I HIGHLY recommend this one for its intended purpose.

I love this carpet cleaner..It is not real big and easy to pull out for smaller jobs. I do clean my whole rooms with it too.. I have pets and it is great on stains. The price was fantastic.

I have a low pile rug in my living room and it was impossible to keep it clean. I have one medium hair cat and this rug is her favorite place to hang out. It is a 10 x 12 rug and it was taking me, no lie, over 2 hours to vacuum or clean and it still looked awful. I decided to try to get a shampooer especially designed for removing animal hair. This model appealed to me due to it being described as lightweight but still having great suction. That is it in a nutshell. I had a Hoover carpet cleaner for 20 years and it worked great, my only quibble was the weight, had to be over 20 pounds so my carpets werent cleaned as much as they should. This machine is perfect for my needs. I would read the other reviews, it works best when you take your time, put down a small area with solution, then SLOWLY go over it to remove all the water. If you sweep like a vacuum, using more speed to vacuum will actually take more time. Assembly takes about 5 minutes tops, and the directions to assemble and use is included and straightforward. A small bottle of cleaning solution is included, probably for three or our tanks. The suction on this small machine is incredible. You could feel the machine almost latch on to the carpet and I felt like the solution was getting deep into the surface and then really getting sucked out. I had high suction only until the supply canister of water/cleaner was just about out. I did no prep work on the carpet so it was absolutely full of cat hair, shredded paper, dirt, etc. Since this was the first time cleaning, I wanted to get it as clean as possible, and I needed a little bit of time to see how to best operate it. An hour later, the rug was shampooed and it took about an hour. The collection pail water was very dark brown, which was gross but not as gross as realizing I was walking on it and my cat was rolling around in it. The price was fantastic well under $100. I would expect it be well over $100. I rent out furnished apartments and Im going to buy at least one more machine to use for my business. Its an excellent investment, particularly if you own an animal or if you rent to individuals who have animals. 5/5 stars:: excellent machine!
