> 24 hourWas a cool case. Had it for about two months. Loved the dot view. Nice to see temp and time in big bold. Talk with case closed. Was a pain to take photos with cause dot door is in the way of camera. the hinge just split apart from opening and closing. If you dont have a physical job or dont use your phone alot I guess it is a good case. Waste of $50.

> 24 hourIts gimmicky and offers very little in the way of utility and protection as a case. Just no.

> 24 hourThis case has a lot of pros, and only one con that Ive run into. The idea of being able to see the time, weather, message and mail notifications while still having the entire phone protected is great. I work in an automotive shop, and its very convenient. Ive had more compliments than I can remember on it. People asking me how it works, and if they can see it. I love how it activates my phone when I open the cover, and turns it off when I close it without me having to hit any buttons. So once Im done using it, I just flip the cover closed and slide it back into my pocket. The only con Ive come across is that it doesnt open all the way. Meaning, you cant fold the front flat onto the back, which sometimes makes it difficult to do tasks like texting. But it works very well to prop your phone up for video viewing. Overall, I really like this case, and the fact that its only for the HTC One (M8) gives it a feeling of exclusivity.

> 24 hourFun! fun! fun!. I thought that that case cover would be an irritating thing to have to deal with, but it hasnt been. I read a couple of negative reviews before I purchased it that claimed the cover wouldnt close all the way, but mine has worked perfectly. The little instruction book--yes! for a phone case!--advises to make sure the phone is completely snapped into the case. Its possible that some people arent doing this. It generates a lot of interest from other less fortunate cell phone owners, also!!

> 24 hourCONS: The reason I love HTC is for the camera. This cover does not protect the camera, and camera started getting scratched in my purse in the odd times I used the Dot View. I love SPECK cases and the quality of this cover is nothing like SPECK

> 24 hourThis item fell way short of my expectations. The construction is flimsy, sticky silicone. The cover catches on my fingers and the cover ripped off while sliding it into my pocket. I like the idea of the dots, but this case is much worse than the HTC case without the dots. Totally a waste of money. I cant return it because its ripped in half now.

> 24 hourI got a gold htc one M8 and the orange cover matches the color perfectly. The case protects the front and back of the phone well and the materiality of the case feels pretty good. If you take 1 minute to read the instructions there are some pretty cool features to play with. The dot view cover is flexible enough to allow you to hold the phone in one hand even with the cover flipped all the way to the back. I dont have the problem of not being able to hold it in one hand, or having annoying cover keeps flipping back while taking a call, as mentioned in some reviews. (Im a 55 girl and obviously I dont have giant hands ...) Just a head up, with a screen protector of decent quality/thickness, the dot view will not close properly. I have the Spigen cover on my screen, so the right side of the dot view cover is now raised up by like 1/8, but the features are working just fine. I guess if you got the dot view for your phone, chances are you dont really need a screen protector. I didnt purchase the screen insurance with at&t so I used a screen protector just in case. Just personal preference. Hope the review helps :)

> 24 hourSuper cool idea, doesnt work. Bought this expensive cover because of the see-through dot system on the HTC ONE (M8). It looked like a great idea. When I received the cover, it was very plasticy and cheap feeling. When installed, the cover didnt shut all the way, and therefore the cool dot matrix system didnt work. The cover has to be fully closed for the system to work, and it always stayed partially open. It fit like a too small shirt. Defective? Yes. Bad design? I dont know. I only tried the one, and was not willing to try another.
