HTC RE 16.0MP Waterproof Digital Camera (White)

Had to send one back to HTC due to water getting into the unit. Will be trying it in water again soon, as that is one reason I got this. However they replaced without issues.

A really cool little camera at a fantastic price here on Amazon. I purchased it primarily to video my group bike rides and take pictures. Wide angle feature is really cool. I found a nice handlebar light mount by Lezyne that holds the re perfectly. Only issue obviously is that it doesnt have a flash, so your relegated to daytime activities. Also, a closeup shot requires you to hold the camera REALLY close to the object.

Cheap and it shows it. The case is cracked on arrival. Battery life is okay. I did have any connectivity issue, but it does require two tries every time. The picture quality is not bad in good lighting conditions, but the angle is too wide. It would be better if the lens is less fisheyes. Excellent form factor for taking pictures when cycling. That’s about the only thing it’s good for.

This is my 2nd HTC RE purchase in 2 weeks. I was very satisfied and happy with the first purchase. However, this 2nd purchase of the same kind of HTC RE was very disappointing as I got a lemon and broken unit. It will not turn on even if the battery light is green and really is not inoperable and a broken unit. I am returning for a refund.

This is my second HTC RE camera. Purchased it cheaply, around $40 in Used, Like New condition. Lots of power packed into its tiny body - 16 MP stills, Very sharp full 1080p HD video, one touch slow motion, great monophonic microphone, very discreet (nobody thinks its a camera, as it looks more like an asthma inhaler), waterproof, scratch resistant lens. Small enough to put it in any pocket, including shirts. Note: It requires a more powerful 2.1a charger, wont charge from a 1a. Both of my HTC RE cameras are working perfectly, even after having been dropped repeatedly. . Update 09/27/2017. Still like them a lot, take them everywhere I go. Taking one star off, as they clearly turned out to be non-waterproof.. Both my cameras failed when or after having been used in water - one in Atlantic ocean, another in a swimming pool. In both cases used them in no more than 2 feet (50-60cm) of water. Thankfully I managed to fix both of them by drying them out completely with an electric hair dryer (alternating low and high fan speed at high heat setting from a distance of about 4 inches (10 cm) for about 12-15 minutes. May need even more drying time. Both cameras are now working fine, like new. But no more swimming with them, for sure.

Very easy to use and enjoy while traveling. Would love a wireless connection to download quicker

Me and my finance bought this camera for our winter trip to Santa Fe. Its super light weight and easy to use. I hand held my RE to a marathon race and I took lots and lots beautiful pictures. I didnt feel anything while I held my RE. Its the best purchase ever. My RE is just over 1 year old and I would purchase again if I need to.

For the price point and for what I purchased this camera for, its perfect. May family used it for all water sports (Ocean, Pool, Parasailing, etc.) during spring break in Mexico (buy the optional immersion kit). Videos are smooth with no artifacts, stills are fine and the time lapse (did several sunrises) feature is awesome. The RE app for Android (Galaxy S6) can be frustrating, but it does work. All in all a great purchase and it shipped on time and complete.

Awesome camera love how easy and quick it takes a picture I love the app that connects to my phone sad that the plastic has a problem on the bottom eventually I think thats mostly due to overheating if you try and take it on a plane because you cant shut the unit off all the way still bought a second one to replace my first one my first ones still working just has some cracks in the bottom

Amazing little camera! It was perfect for our cruise vacation. Cheap but well worth it, great camera video and great pictures. Easy to hook up to a smart phone to check out all the pictures. Used to for a zip line tour and was so happy with how it came out!
