Valve confirmed that this base station is dead. We have an Index and it gave us a warning that it wasn’t functioning. They used the serial number and found it broken. THIS IS RIDICULOUS: WITHIN 74 DAYS! It’s been on a pole anchored to the wall the entire time. No damage on our part, just randomly died. Our other two base stations have lasted since October of last year.

Got one of these to help my VR setup due to Steam always being out of stock. Sad to find it cost more for a product that feels cheaper and doesnt even come with a wall mount. Outside this issue it works fine, pairs with the system, and so far has not shown any issues. I also bought 4 new all mounts anyways as I wanted some better angles from the ceiling positions I use.

I have never in my whole life ever written a review on any product because I didn’t wanna become a Karen…but I think In this case I’d be saving people money, DO NOT buy these base stations I’ve bought two from this and BOTH have come in faulty straight out the box, out of the box I get them set up, mounted, and I plug them in, to my delight it goes from blue…to green…. But then to a slow blinking red, upon doing research I found that it’s an internal error and I gotta contact the company, so I do…but was given an issue and was never given a replacement (which from my understanding they’re suppose to do) , I would heavily consider where you spend your money because in my opinion this isn’t it

This is nothing more than an Valve Index base station in HTC packaging. And while the price is $50 more than what Steam lists theirs at, you get less in the box. The Steam version includes: a 15 power cable, Mounting Equipment, Regional Power Adapters, and a cleaning cloth. Dont Buy HTCs version unless Steams listing is Out of Stock or unavailable in your region.

Was a great upgrade from the 1.0 stations! Has helped tremendously with fully body 360 tracking.

But the issue is that they do not last long. This is the second one Ive had to buy within a years time (replacing the first one I bought). Pretty expensive for something you have to keep replacing.

Doesnt come with any wires, the front of the station looks scratched up. i have 2 and they both came with everything. when asked for a refund, they told me that my refund would come back in 2-3 hours ( after turning into ups). that was a lie, told to wait 2 weeks. like what? even on Steam, buying the base stations, comes with the plug cord.

One of my valve index base stations stopped working. I bought this to replace it, worked fine.

    Works well

Now with wide-area tracking, base station 2.0 powers the presence and immersion of room-scale, virtual reality by helping the Vive Pro or Vive Pro eye headsets and Controllers track their exact locations. Features wireless syncing.
