> 3 dayAfter spending way more money than these things are truly worth, they randomly break entirely. HTC is aware that this is an issue but doesn’t do anything about it. Their solution is to buy new ones. I’ve been through about 3 of these in 6 months. They don’t even get touched so there is no misuse involved. Please don’t waste your money on HTC products. They don’t care.

> 3 dayWorks well when it is setup. The only minis is the power saving feature that is flaky, sometimes hours after the computer shuts down they are still mechanically on. This is probably limiting their lifetime.

> 3 dayI have owned 4 of these. 3 of them have failed due to internal mechanical issues. I am so fed up with these things but I need them for my VR to work. Im considering making a case for a refund for my base stations. I hope HTC will work with me.

> 3 dayThis product is great with the 2.0 vive trackers and is definitely the better option to have if you are just getting into vull body vr as it is cheaper than the 2.0 base station. One thing I would like to warn you about is to never under any circumstances get a used base station. I made that mistake before and ended up getting a $114 paperweight, there is likely something gonna be wrong with the used base station such as a faulty motor, scratches, bad wire, or at worst a broken laser diode. Always buy these things new.

> 3 dayThese are fantastic for what they are but this generation does not work in compatibility with the first generation of base stations. These are a mid cycle refresh with a different led pattern and seemingly better tracking than my 2016 vive bs, but there was zero indication on this site that they would not be compatible, if you have the first gen Vive and need to replace one of your base stations you should get it repaired through HTC, because I bought this one I had to buy a second one to get a full setup working and now I have a useless base station sitting on my table. This does track what seems to be noticeably better than the first generation so I guess thats good but I still would rather have only bought one given there listed as the same product. I have a pretty huge room scale setup and they do the job well, there are basically no dead zones or problems tracking once you go through the hassle of getting it set up which for me required a lot of waiting since I had to buy another one. At least they work really well individually since Im sure some folks will be in the same situation as me but not have the funds to get the second one

> 3 dayBought this to replace a base station that was broken with my Vive Pro setup (because their only other option is to mail it to them and wait a month for their team to possibly repair it). However, this does not actually work with Vive Pro, it just never gets detected, and this is the ONLY base station replacement that HTC sells. So basically if you have Vive Pro youre screwed.
