HTC Vive Base Station

So as of right now I only have this one no other base stations and tbh the track on this is great with just one I will be ordering one more soon because it does lose some tracking but I expected that with just one but it works great for only having one

Unfortunately, this is now my third base station Ive had for my Vive. Ive had the included 2 since launch and one day one has a rotor failure that would not be covered by warranty, and repairing it would cost about as much as buying a new one. So I bought one here. Less than a month after I bought the base station, it had the same failure as the first. So I had to return it and get a new one. And that was the only good part about the base station really, the amazon return service. If you have a vive I do recommend buying your replacement equipment here to keep from going through the hassle that is the Htc customer support.

Unfortunately the used ones I bought were used because of the fact that they no longer function correctly. They did like to pair to one another and they had internal errors back to back

I had bought the cosmos elite that came with two base stations and bought two more for my brother. Out of the 4 base stations 1 has this odd rotary sound struggling like a fishing rod that just annoys me, I may have to return it. If you plan to play vrchat, 2 base stations is all you need but yes the software can support 3 but the 4th one would have issues getting in sync making the software tell you that you have two many base stations and to only use two. You have to place these opposite from each other and press the channel button located on the back, to set one to channel (b) and the other to (c). Im not sure what channel (A) is for but Ill have to Google it.

Delivery was slow and the product was damaged. It works fine and the price was good but the bolt for attaching to a stand was broken off.

Great base station. Used for full body tracking for VR.

Given how important to a good VR setup your base stations are, I find that the HTC Vive base stations tend to give out a bit too soon and are a fair bit more expensive to replace than should be the case. That being said, when the base stations are installed properly and working as expected, they are a pleasure to have around. The VR experience would be far less immersive without the positional tracking that these base stations enable.

Works perfectly to use for seated play. If you turn off the other base stations, it will remember your seated layout. I use smart plugs to simplify the set up.
